If Nuss gets hurt,
If Hurley doesn't develop
If Collins transfers out
If Underwood doesn't come here

this guy may play.

Prom is just a try hard douche

There was 100 different things he could’ve said right there, but he chose to go with that. What a douche bag.

Great opportunity for the guy. Sit back and learn, then transfer to selu and set records. :)

Will never play a down at LSU

Unless BK channels his inner Notre Dame and gives him a Rudy snap

Who cares? He’s not using up a scholarship. The more QBs you put in the room, the higher the chance you actually hit on one. Finding a good QB isn’t easy so the more shots you take, the better.

Why would he come to a program with a QB room like LSU where he will never see the field and be just a practice arm instead of going to a smaller school and really have a shot to play QB?

Because he can get coached by Sloan for a couple years then still transfer to one of those smaller schools.

No offense to this kid, but if he does see the field, we're probably not in the best situation.

Info on QB Knox Dyson

What is the consensus on this addition?

a.) Camp arm
b.) depth in the event that we lose Swann/Rickie after spring ball
c.) competition for Hurley and/or Underwood?

I'm glad he chose LSU. He will be able to be coached up by Sloan. Just getting that knowledge will be valuable no matter when or where he plays. God bless you, Knox.

In the age of the transfer portal, why not come here, learn from Sloan and a loaded QB room and then transfer out and take your shot somewhere that needs you.

The bottom line….kid wants to be a Tiger. If he makes it on the field great, if he doesn’t, at least he gave it his best shot!

Saying anything negative about a kid like Knox is just stupid. He wants to be a Tiger so bad, he is paying his own way, so why isn’t every single Tiger fan 100% behind the kid??

QB recruiting is very hit and miss. In part because it's way more political than even those on this board know.

I have long been skeptical about Colin Hurley, in part because he is inaccurate and in part because he reminds me of Chase Griffin

Griffin was the most marketed QB recruit I have ever seen. And if you are saying "Who?" the response is "exactly." Gatorade player of the year but never played at UCLA

I can't figure out Dyson. He has the size but not the offers. Usually when a prospect has prototypical size but not P5 offers, it means he's just not good at playing QB but arrogant coaches will think they can "coach him up" and take them over fantastic QBs who just aren't tall enough (see, Stetson Bennett, Baker Mayfield, Malik Willis, Brock Purdy, Drew Brees). But Dyson's stats suggest he can play. And the recruiting services just missed here.

It will be intriguing to see how this gamble pays off for him. Sloan recruited him personally so hopefully Sloan gives him a shot to develop and doesn't just send him off to throw to the DBs.

Yea, the numbers he put up in 6a in state of Oklahoma compared to the offer list he has is a head scratcher. I’m interested to hear more on his story
