love both of those DL and want them. our need at LT is so great if I could make that deal I would. not bloody likely, unfortunately.
there was no good news at tackle in last year's class. no good news in the spring. will there be good news in summer camp? in the next recruiting class. I feel like it hasn't rained in a very long time at left tackle.

I’ll second that thought. You can find 10 quality DL for every 1 quality LT.

Por que no los dos?

No. We can’t continue to lose the top DL in the state every year

I would really love to get Guillory.
That said, your hypothetical would be acceptable for me. It's strength is much more aligned with recruiting and developing DL talent. So, to me, for him to haul in an SEC-ready LT would be phenomenal.

Sorry, but I'm not trading two blue chip big guys, for one. I don't see either need being that much greater than the other, plus we're deeper at OL than DL.

Who else would you take in that deal because I do not see either of them coming to the home team. Just a hunch. We already have a load of DL in this class so I figure the coaches have moved on.
I think the same thing with Keyvone Lee jumping on the scene of late. Evans and Milton not likely and coaches not putting eggs in one basket with Aashad Johnson like they did with Akers. If Lee commits then Johnson is out.

We really need DL too.

I’d start praying for one out of the three before starting a thread on who you’d prefer to take

Good news is we don’t have to trade out one recruit for another if they all want in

LSU's need for dlinemen in 2020 is greater than the need for LT. After 2019 LSU loses Fehoko, Lawrence and maybe Logan. They need the very best dlinemen they can get for the 2020 season. Besides that, trading 2 for 1, sorry, but that dude isn't that good. And Roy and Guillory are not scrubs, they are some extremely good football players. And that is a position of need for 2020. LSU has several young olinemen that are still getting bigger and more physical. They will be ready come 2020. Cameron Wire and Dare will be very good LT prospects by 2020. Dare played LT against the second team defense in the spring game and he looked good. Big, tall, long and strong, good footwork and getting better. I wouldn't count him out just yet. Nor would I count out Wire. Bradford may even be a LT candidate by 2020.

Hopefully LSU pulls two more out of state D lineman and let’s these guys go where ever they want. With Bama depth chart at D line it is ridiculous for an in state kid to string LSU out. Anyway my two cents

Of course I,agree trade of the two DL for the OT as well.

Anyone know if we are still in it for Broughton? Heard the visit went well but hadn’t heard much since. If we miss on Roy or Guillory but get him, I don’t think we’d miss a beat.

I hope you are right but I am hearing nothing from the staff or the pundits to indicate these guys are coming along. Rosenthal's athletic measurements are off the charts but does he have the desire?
If we had a solid left tackle this year no question we are 75% into the CFP, imo.
the staff has been bringing in great dlinemen. of course I want guillory and roy, esp. the one projected at NT. this is an expression of how desperate I see the tackle position. I hope you are right.

not really.... texas or aTm... we may be a hat on the table, but no one should expect this dude to leave the state of texas

I have been reading these boards and the threads on DL and one thing is a common string - folks forgetting about Eric Taylor. Yes he is a NT and not a DE. But having that rock in the middle in place and expecting to sign is crucial. What LSU needs is legit plan B options in case Roy and Guillory are not in this class. I don't care where they get him but get the best two who are as close as possible in comparative talent.

Not sure where you are getting him being a NT, I'd say he's a DE for sure in our scheme. Kid is very athletic.
