I do like the possibility of great TEs on the field, but do we sacrifice our WR strength?

This state produces insane WR talent, as proven by the guys currently in the NFL, running 13 personnel takes our biggest assets off the field.

We have always fawned over TEs we have had the last several years, but the WRs have been our focal point to success.

Pimpton & Green are WR’s, basically.

If they are on the field they are going to be standing up somewhere like a WR

It will not only benefit the wide receivers, but the running backs as well.

So you’re repeating the same thing you made fun of me for saying the other day? I guess in your opinion it’s only cool and smart when you say it.

The only difference is I predicted it before Brian Kelly said it, and you chumps are repeating it after the fact.

Only I thing I’ll indignant about is I made a very legitimate post and prediction and everyone shite all over it and treated it like a joke of a thread and dumb shitposting.

I know I’m not the only person to ever think of the concept in other football programs.

Coaches believe that TEs/LB/S matchups create more problems for opposing teams than some of the WR/DB matchups

Bro you were only getting mocked because your thread gets made multiple times every year.

It’s always the same. Some dork takes the 5 guys who have been labeled as the most athletic by the rant and says “hey guys what do you think would happen if we put _____, ____, ____, ____, & ____ on the field at the same time? Man it would be UNSTOPPABLE

Relax. It isn’t that important. It’s just that this shite gets posted every single offseason. And yes. It can be stopped. Measurables rarely score touchdowns

Who cares? That’s how this place operates. Most people on here are not football savvy. That’s just a fact.

I remember bringing up things in 2017 that happened in 2018 and 2019 but everyone laughed at what it was I said at the time. They will never remember or if they remember would never give anyone credit for anything they were 100% correct about.

Most just follow the crowd on here and don’t want to go outside the lane because it will get a lot of disagreement. Which I find fascinating and funny. I could give a darn. This place has zero meaning in my life and frankly neither does football. It’s a fun pass time and that’s it. It’s a way to make money on occasion. Speaking of, if you bet, right now is a great time to do that.

I’m predicting an SEC championship appearance and we will cover against USC at this time. I think we will cover against most games this year, especially on the front end of the schedule because we are seen as a bad defensive team. I don’t think we will be. It’s hard to say 11–2 or playoff appearance because we could lose 2 SEC games and lose the championship. Will 10-3 get you into a playoff? I’m not sure it will because we might have someone else go 10-2 and beat LSU H to H. LSU will be 10-3 at that point and possibly just outside of the top 14. Depending on how it plays out. You could play on all 3 areas and win some decent money if they all win out.

Then again if you don’t have any undefeated or one loss lower tier teams, you could still get into the playoffs. That’s where you could be screwed. If you have several lower tier teams who go undefeated or only have one loss with a decent schedule. Win their championship by a wide margin and so forth. Then again you could have quite a few 3 loss teams this year.

Good tight ends help receivers.

Good receivers help the running backs.

Good RBs help the quarterback.

A good offense helps the defense of yo can run ball control.

Good everything helps everything.

Why would it if they're used correctly? They could stretch the LBs and S thin or even DBs with massive mismatches. It would only help open the rest of the field up. They'll have 5 WR sets I'm sure.

It's about the personnel you dictate to the defense. Analytically LBs and S are easier to "beat" in coverage. Generally simpler to rub or confuse them as they'd typically be closer to the line and likely not as quick changing directions as a CB would be. Running the ball is essential to this tactic though. If no run threat they won't concern themselves with matching size in personnel. Then the matchups change and your advantage with it. All theoretical of course. That's why talent is important. Can't outcoach talent sometimes. Particularly trying to defend elite talent and play calling. LSU '19.

Matchups man. If you think their corners can beat your receivers in man, then sub out a receiver for an extra TE and find a way to isolate him on a linebacker or safety in coverage. It just gives us more options against the teams with better defenses.

I get it but at this point who cares who called it. As long as they produce when called upon we will all be excited.

We aren’t likely to see 3 TEs on normal plays.

It will be in 3rd or 4th down short yardage type plays. Maybe a 2 point conversion play.

We won’t be sacrificing anything
