I cannot wait to see which QB LSU gets from the portal

Will it be a sure-fire starter like Cam Ward or Will Howard? Or maybe Will Rogers or KJ Jefferson think they can beat out Nussmeier? Or is there a young back-bencher at Bama or Georgia like Holstein, Vandagriff, or Stockton that sees the #2 role at LSU as a better path to a starting job? No way Rickie Collins is our primary backup next year. No way.

I think Dante Moore should be a take. We recruited him in high school and were briefly considered favorites.

Definitely not Will Rodgers , not sure Will Howard is just gonna walk right in and start over Nuss or maybe I’m just not familiar with his game

IMO, i'm fine either way, but i would love to have an elite QB like Cam Ward starting next year at LSU, or have a guy like Dante Moore backing up Nuss for a year.

Shea and Hunt don't know what the coaches want though. Hunt will tell you himself he doesn't have an inside source to speak of. If QBs start calling, you don't think they entertain the idea?

In terms of replacing Nuss? No, I don't. I think you are overselling the number of people who now want a "dual threat" aka usually a single threat runner who can't throw for shite. It's hilarious watching the same people call JD a "once in a generation player" then beg for another portal dual threat expecting the same result. By that logic Nuss is a Burrow type quarterback so Heisman!
The reality is any temporary backup option will almost certainly push out Underwood from coming here. Assuming they look good enough to become the starter after Nuss and force Underwood to pull a Walker Howard. A replacement starter would be a massive risk and you have to hope both the transfer works out and Nuss doesn't go somewhere else and do well or BK looks like a clown. It also leaves the backup situation exactly the same and sends a message to high school recruits that you will never start here so long as a transfer is available.

You don’t bring in a QB to replace Nuss but you do bring in one the will compete for the Job! If he turns out to be the winner then Nuss needs to look at himself! You cannot pass on good/great players because you are protecting feelings

I'm fine with bringing a QB, but nothing is given. You come in, you compete. You could end up 1st string, you could end up 3rd string.
