How does LSU get around NIL?

Unless NIL becomes relegated, this is a bad, bad time for LSU. We will continue to get stomped on with big time recruits. Our “big” recruits lately have been three star O lineman. We’re on a whole other level than the elite and rich right now

The portal is a good thing when you're forced with building a roster and depth, the way Brian Kelly was forced to do. He's done a remarkable job with it, but you can't live in the portal if you want to consistently compete for championships.
The roster has to built from high school recruits who develop in the program, supplemented with three or four transfers, which is Kelly's plan.

We so far aren’t a top 5 player in this new NIL era but hopefully we’re able to catch up soon. I feel like quality programs will win recruits over time. Money and no new hardware will get old.
