Two 5 star pillars in big future positions of need in underwood and Phillips now gone, Jesse Harold gone. I mean damn, makes you not even wanna take recruiting till signing day serious ngl

LSU will still play football, but I will say this, the amount of talent that was once in this class, that is now not, is pretty staggering.

The Bryce stuff I did not see coming and it literally took a perfect storm and an unreal amount of money to flip, but that Florida game was the nail in the coffin for this class. We win that and win these next two, we are maintaining momentum with a potential sec championship and playoff birth. The meltdowns on the sidelines from players and coaches, just a monumental bad look for our program.

I was just saying this on On3.
I keep being told that winning doesn't matter, but this program was in a complete death spiral for a solid month.
By all accounts we have matched all of these offers minus Underwood, which was insane anyway.
If Brian Kelly is half as good of a coach he thinks he is he needs to bring stability and playoff appearances asap. frankly going 10-3 with the best offense since 2019 isn't a good look either due to poor staffing.

Best way to do it… see who LSU signs and be happy if it’s a good class.
Following recruiting used to be pretty fun, but the last several years and the current landscape made me quite ambivalent about it.

The second half of the A&M game is when everything started to change and it carried on through the Florida game.

come on, Bryce didn't flip because LSU lost a couple of games. If he did, he would have never gone to Michigan who barely has a winning season and lost their great coach.

I used to follow recruiting pretty hard and get excited about signing day but I think I’m pretty much burnt out on it. Can’t be excited about any commitment we have any more

All about fricking money and it should be abolished in college sports. These kids have done NOTHING to deserve it. They are NO longer college athletes!

Well, as I posted earlier this week
Why should we care as we do when 18 year olds are getting generational wealth and don’t love their school like the fans do?
It’s entertainment and in decline because we’re stupid for supporting it
A college education costs minimum 100 k after taxes after living expenses to come up with 100k
Meanwhile scholarships are taken for granted
NIL before they’ve done shite.
Let them all transfer or sign elsewhere
I have no respect for the system anymore
Players are in it for money
NFL junior league is not desirable

Harold flipped to FSU. Look at their season. BU went to a very mediocre Michigan team that can’t throw and barely had a winning season. Phillips is the only player going to a “better” team. Ole miss doubled Harper’s deal. LSU beat ole miss. This NIL season has been the most extreme in terms of money being offered. LSU didn’t lose these guys because of the Florida game. If this staff lost the team in Florida they don’t bounce back and play two of their best games all season.
LSU is losing most of these guys because of money. Hopefully Pickett sticks and they close with Solomon and possibly Stewart. And does anyone really think if Stewart is picking USC it’s because they have a better program and history of putting DL in the NFL? LSU is probably 8-12 in ranking of money programs. Hopefully the portal giveth but not overly optimistic

Interesting. Our insiders preach all the time that recruits don't look at one game to make a decision.

Then explain how Auburn currently has a higher recruiting ranking than we do?

it's BEEN this way for a few years now bro... i haven't gotten excited over a verbal commit in at least 4 - 5 years.... most of the time, once they "verbally commit" i just wait for the other shoe to drop, at this point
