Regarless of where Kiel chooses he already has shown more class than Saban. Saban couldn't wait one day. NOT ONE DAY! Gunner didn't ruin anyones Christmas.

If this is the way you see it then do not be disappointed if he does not come here. A Player of this caliber will have to play or have a chance to play as soon as possible.
You talking 3 full years no playing time. That goes against everything that Les Miles said during this year and the reason there where so many Freshmen playing.
Les Miles said,If a Player is playing at a high level he will be given the chance to prove himself worthy of playing time and age has nothing to do with it. This Kid is not going somewhere to ride the bench he is going to play or at least of having a chance of playing time.
The way I see it if he does not have a legitimet chance at playing his 1st year he will leave and go where he can play. He is a clear REAL 5 star ***** Pro-Set QB and he will be looking to go Pro his 3rd year out period. He will not be here for 5 years if he starts out playing at that high level 3 years max.
There is nothing that will change my mind unless he says he wants to come here and sit the bench for 3 years, that is totally against a high level Football Player they are competitive and want to remain so.
Who told you he was coming to LSU not play and ride the bench for 3 years. If you really believe that you had better go back to when Freshmen weren't allowed to play, early 70s or something like that? AINT HAPPENING! PERIOD!

Unless Mett just absolutely poops the sheets or gets hurt I just don't see any chance of Kiel not redshirting in 2012. That would be good for both LSU and Kiel. (Both of his older brothers redshirted their freshman year so he knows the drill). I do think, depending on his development and maturity, that he could see significant playing time in 2013. He appears to have incredible potential... We shall see soon enough.

The only way he challenges Mett is if he has legit shot at playing right away. Both of those QBs are coming to LSU with a legit shot at leading a NC Team to another NC and the only way to do that is by playing.
If he comes here to LSU he will be given that legit shot at being THE QB AT LSU. That is my story and I am sticking with it!
I do believe Les said that, didn't he?
If is not then Les will not contend for any 5* Player let alone a 5* QB.

I think if there was any chance youd be right, we would have seen The Mett this year.... He's not even a freshman, and he didnt even get on the field against two of LSUs most inconsistent QBs.
Kiel wont see the field until Mett is gone, and possibly until Rivers is gone too, unless he's clealy better better than Rivers... but even then, he would probably split time that year with Randall. Then, he would have his entire Jr and Sr years. at the helm.

This... No way a kid just out of high school walks in and unseats Mett. Just won't happen. The kid won't know any of our system, won't have been practicing against sec caliber defense for a year.. not knocking the guy, I'm just speaking the obvious. And.. not to mention Rivers and Rancor..
