He will annouce when he is ready to, not before. i believe it has to do with my last 2 posts and the ones I answered. If Miles is doing what those said and that is sitting the bench 2 or 3 years before playing. If that is the case he will not come to LSU but if he is given a chance at playing I believe that is why he is going to make sure Les is going to give him a legitiment shot at plaing next year. I believe it all has to do with that.
Anyone put yourself in this Kids shoes. All of you give me your honest answer to my question below.
You are a 5* QB and you are being told by ND you have the starting job next year, earn it it is yours. Then you are being told by Les Miles and LSU you are going to sit 2 or 3 years before you can play, what are you going to do?
I say he will NOT come to LSU, unless he can earn the right to play. I believe he WILL come if given a legit shot at playing and it begins in the Spring.

Kiel will be given every opportunity to earn the starting job. The main reason is for Mett to have some competition.
Miles hasnt been that impressed with Metts work ethic. Metts character and work ethic has improved some as the season progressed, but Miles still thinks he can do better

in real life, anyone can EARN the right to start and play.
if someone has a great spring, they will get more reps in the summer. every snap counts.

These were not 5* QBs out of H.S. Mett was as is Keil and yes I do believe he will be given the shot at playing this year even though Mett fully knows the system. It is not totally about knowing the system these days it is about playing time and how educated that QB is and how fast he can pick-up on the Defensive reads.
Some systems are complecated but LSU's is not. He is a Pro-set QB and those systems tend to have the basic same reads. They pick-up the basics and the rest will come with playing time and the KEY BEING how good he can read Defenses not just the basics. That is the #1 thing at getting to start.
Remember there was also a reason Mett was not going to start at Georgia besides him making that big mistake. Mett's problem was he could not make his basic Defensive reads, the same reason he did not start and play at the beginning of this year at LSU he could not out play Lee who also can not make his basic reads but playing time gave him the job over Mett.
I understand his Brothers also where redshirted, but it still comes down to making his reads and how fast he can progress. This Kid is smart and the very reason Brian Kelly wants him at N.D.

My attention on this thread has been greatly sporadic.
I'll open the last page and see if there have been any new developments and see the train wreck that are most of these guys.

Who says he's guaranteed the starting spot next year at ND? You think he starts over two Jr's with playing experience?
And not all 5* QBs play like they are rated. Mitch Mustain, Jimmy Clausen and Kyle Wright were 5* QBs

but there was some talk on the local radio about LSU's recruiting this year, so I checked out this Kiel kid
and then I read some of the absolute drivel coming from some of these other assbags who think they have some sort of other-wordly insight into the interworkings of the football offices and depth charts

I'm actually kindof hoping Kiel will commit today. That way he will be able to enroll early, learn the playbook over the next couple weeks, and earn the starting job for the BCS NCG.
