I assume there will be more but here are 2 bigs that would likely be of interest to LSU.
1. UT Arlington’s Kira Reynolds (6'4, PF)
The South Bend native averaged (13.0) points, (7.9) rebounds, and (2.4) blocks per game as a freshman this season—ranking 9th in the NCAA in blocks.
LINK
2. Stanford’s Nunu Agara (6’2, PF)
2025-26 stats: 15.3 PPG | 8.7 RPG | 1.2 SPG
?29 PTS | 13 RBS vs No. 5 LSU (2024-25)

There were a lot of bad habits on this year's team that I would have hoped Bob, if he was truly all that great, would have coached the girls out of.
You are right, if they could have fixed thos issues they may have been one of the highest scoring teams in teh country, possibly lead the nation in rebounds and played stingy defense.

That's the point. She didn't dominate any other big girls. Go look at the schedule. Only 2 games matter, UCLA who plays a slow pace but had 6-7 Betts, she had 15 and 4 and they lost by 36, Betts had 25 and 7. Against South Carolina, (SEC size and speed) she had 9 and 9 and they lost by 40 and Okot didn't even play, Edwards had 29.
If with LSU she would be constantly behind the play and would slow down LSU's entire offense, especially with someone like Fulwiley starting next year. She would consistently get beat on the defensive end in the open floor by teams that have bigs that run ...ie ALL THE GOOD ONES.
She also is a Junior so she only has 1 year left. You don't take that over more athletic kids that will be Sophomores and Juniors next year
How is that the point? You originally said Penn State only had two players who did anything, and now you're saying she didn't "dominate" big girls. Those are two entirely different statements. And who is going to dominate those teams you're talking about? We just need someone to be productive in the post. Maybe if other teams had to focus on more than two players, she would do better.
And why does it matter that she's a junior? Who are the younger players who you think LSU can get? By all means, if LSU can get someone better AND younger, that's great. But that's not what this thread is about. This is about discussing this option.

The discussion of dominance came from the post I replied to stating about how we get dominated by other teams big girls and need some to return that. If you read that you'd understand the context in which I stated, Merkle is not that.
My point was she would not be as productive with LSU because 1. Our pace is too fast for her to succeed because Mulkey like to play a certain style. 2. She would not be a focus of the offense like at Penn State
My previous post becomes even more relevant after last night. The two games I mentioned, that mattered are the two teams in the national championship tomorrow. She has decent, not great showings in blowouts. The worse of the two against the style we play and see night in and night out. It's not a match.
Hence my mentioning Woolfolk who's a perfect fit. Reynolds who we played this year and cause us problems is also a good fit. I'd hoped Cody and Jones and Bama had gotten in the portal since Curry left bit the didn't.
Why a 1 year, non fit isn't what you're looking for? Because Williams and Fulwiley are Seniors next year. You have a chance to compete for a title. You don't bring in a piece you expect to swallow up extensive starting time, that changes your whole pace and style of play and then make them have to do a total rebuild on chemistry. You need plug and play pieces and that boosts you for the year after where currently we don't have a true star on this roster as of now.

That girl should not come here. As soon as she has a bad game she will be called the "Bride of Yorke" and villified relentlessly with other personal insults.

If Koval “fits” here, then Merkle would sure fit here. How interested are the Final Four teams?
I thought after we got Angel and Aneesah we could get anyone we wanted in the portal. Seems though we have to settle for the leftovers South Carolina, UConn, etc. pass on.

She has to be convinced that her to best advance her career, she needs
to go to a team that runs. Most WNBA teams run a good bit

because this one here should! TILDA TRYGGER
now this is a versatile big who can move! a lot like clara strack at kentucky.
shes 6'6, 10.6 pts/gm, 7 reb/gm, shoots 34% from 3. to have her and mia woolfolk--that would pretty much cover you in SEVERAL areas in the paint!

I agree totally.
Just took a look at Trygger's highlight reel from NC State. Pretty impressive. Moves around well for 6-6, blocks shots, and can definitely bury the 3 consistently. Pairing her with the big girl from Georgia would be nice.
I know LSU is looking for "depth" at point guard, but there are a lot of really good ones out there already. Dana Carnegie, Liv McGill, Mia Pauldo, the girl from Virginia, just to name a few. Which of these do you think LSU would go after? Do you think any of these would be willing to share time?

eh. this is gonna get messy. jada deserves her spot, fulwiley deserves her spot, bella should be first off the bench... i think dawn will land kymora from virginia.
we'd have better luck with someone who's not in their final year like liv or dani or zam jones. or maybe we can pick up someone like talaysia cooper or addie brown who can run the point (better than fulwiley) and play down low if needed. hell, i dunno! unfortunately, someone's not gonna be happy!
what are the odds that we can get an upperclassman that wants a championship AND really believes they can help us get it here AND be happy playing 20-25 mins?

She is a moose with post moves. Seems kinda limited to putbacks because she is carrying too much weight. If she lost 30 pounds, she would be more effective, and athletic in her movement.
The Iowa St girl is a more mobile, versatile prospect. I have a feeling she is going to go west with USC or UCLA.
