Gilbert-any news?

There’s been rumblings that Arik will be able to qualify for next Fall if he can get done 6 hours of credits this summer. Since that’s not much at all, LSU would seem to be in a good position for him to return. Georgia and Tennessee sites have been saying he’s reaching out to them about possibly going elsewhere. Anyone got some scoop on what’s been going on? Seems like a lot of moving parts at the moment.

If his “1.0” GPA was accurate, there is no way that 6 credits would fix that right?

I think 247 had an update for VIPs a week or so ago, which I'm going to guess was probably what Vol told us (taking classes now, fix the academic issues and he's g2g)

It's not overall GPA it's the semester before the season and the semester your playing in to be eligible for the bowl game.

He can only play at LSU next year. He cannot play at Ga or anywhere else next year and it has nothing to do with if LSU changes transfer rules. It’s that simple

You know I have been all for this kid returning but it’s pretty apparent he does not want to be at LSU and the people who surround him have not a clue what the hell they are doing. I’m now to the point of some on here…either make a declaration that you what to attend LSU or get the hell out of here we will be great without you! What a total fricking clown show. And to all the so called media covering this guy grow-up and stop using this guy as click bait. It’s old!

Ive got a UGA buddy who feels confident they land him, so confident he tried to bet me $100. I can see him not working out here, but I can’t see any situation where he plays for anyone else besides LSU in ‘21.

Tennessee is supposedly back in and according to Radi Nabulsi Arik is supposed to show up at UGA this week, dude also said there would be no announcement and that he would show up and enroll at UGA if it happened.

I don't believe he necessarily doesn't want to be here per say. I think he was underwhelmed by by offense last year, has mental issues as that has actually come out that he was diagnosed with something, and that he got into something with somebody that he really shouldn't have gotten into it with.

Didn’t go to class, smoked a shite ton of weed, and was unmotivated to put in the hrs required to perfect his craft. Didn’t have anything at all to do with the LSU Campus. Had to do with the space between his ears.

Exactly. Also, just my opinion but I think some of these kids get a huge dose of reality when the talent level is more evened out and they can’t do things as easily as they did in HS.

The dude is trying to take classes so that he can catch up and qualify and he has interests in college of Georgia close to his mommy and daddy. Lsu has some good tight ends on roster that want to be at lsu. Capiche or no entiendo? If not well maybe you need to finish school
