Yeah seems like another Coach O being the nice guy situation. Kirby gonna come in at last second and scoop him up. If that does indeed happen, we got played.

I’ve got it from a good source that LSU truly has went above and beyond to help Gilbert out and work to get him back on the field and eligible. If he actually does snake LSU and head elsewhere after what they’ve done to help set him on track that would be a flat out stab in the back.

Let’s just do some math. Say 5 classes of equal hours in a semester.
3.0 b
2.0 c
0.0 f
0.0 f
0.0 f

That’s a 1.0

He’s gone according to the UGA posters on the SEC Recruiting board

He’s going to one school that recruited the only other five star TE in his class who’s already slated to start after tearing up spring practice? Smart. That 1.0 gpa is becoming much more believable

This seems to happen a lot more than I thought it would under Orgeron

Disappointing

If his “1.0” GPA was accurate, there is no way that 6 credits would fix that right?
I don't think that 1.0 GPA is accurate at all. It's low... but not that low. "Fixable" low is how I'd put it.

However, GPA isn't the main issue. You have to be earning credits towards a degree to stay eligible.

- That means passing them
- that means having the required hours
- that means actually registering for the right classes as laid out in an academic year

Now, on the last one... there's lots of people in the athletic dept. that make sure that one happens AND monitor you for drops (academic drops, not pass drops which is certainly not Gilberts issue). So if he went against the plan and the "counselors" and either refused to register for the right classes or did drop necessary classes- it would be grounds for academic suspension (and also would result in a low GPA very likely).

Current odds are 50/50.

Either he will or he won’t.

It’s that simple.

Those guys post some crap on YouTube to get clicks, their buddies post it here, and the nervous nellies go nuts.
NCAA has opened a cancer with the Portal crap.

Who cares. He will be all but useless there as Kirby Shart is the worst on field head coach in the SEC
