Walk-on rb from Penn State transferred to us. Zero star guy but he's fast fast.

I know the family so I'm happy he's back in the boot for purely personal reasons.

During his senior season of high school football, Kency ran for 1,147 yards and 14 touchdowns on 130 carries

I dont hate adding that, especially as a walk on. Kid is almost Trindon size at 5'7 173

Those rules do not apply until 2025.

I don't think the rule is in full effect for this season BUT if I understand the rule correctly its that a roster will be limited to 105 players. You can offer scholarships to all the 105 players if you want but you are not required to. Meaning that a guy like this kid will most likely have a spot on the 105 next year AND could be on scholarship if LSU decides to give scholarships to all 105. He could also still be considered pay his own way if LSU does not choose to go to 105 immediately. I would think that LSU would give out 105 scholarships because we are not a small school but IDK for sure. The reason I think he'd have a spot is because it seems like he is PWO meaning he was invited to join the team.

He might turn into a great walk-on like Josh Williams.

His Hudl film looked good. He's fast, but I don't know that he's "Trindon" fast. Of course, very few are.

One Penn State article referred to him as a PRO (preferred run-on). Gotta be some strange James Franklin stuff.

Yep… we can have 105 as of next year and I imagine most of SEC will be filling all or close to all of these.

Coaches who have had a recruitment board for two years focused on about 50-60 prospects now need to basically sign an entire additional class to be at that number next year.

We were at 84 this year so this kid gets us to 85 and helps numbers next year as it grows to 105.

Used to know his dad when he’d stop by my old job. This was years ago but his dad has always been so proud of him and knew he had the ability, even when he was a freshman in high school. It’s pretty cool to see this happen, definitely rooting for a Josh Williams type career here or better

Have 5 solid plays for a guy like this and use when you see a speed mismatch. Jet sweep the shite out of a slower defense.

I think it was his senior year. Everyone on here had an idea for how to get him more touches and then others started making jokes about playing him at different spots and for whatever reason the mental image of tiny trindon playing defensive end stuck and became a td meme

Young man had great speed and nice cuts in traffic. Nice work by Tigers to get him on board.
