On his show this morning, a caller asked him if LSU could get them from the portal. Jordy said he doesn’t know what LSU would do but there is interest from Harris and Mathews in LSU. He said regarding Denver Harris, there is no accountability and discipline in the Aggie program. He said Denver needs to mature but would do well at LSU with Brian Kelly’s structure. He doesn’t know if LSU would take them or not and also doesn’t know how hard it would get out of the NIL contracts they signed with the Aggies.

As long as they aren’t locker room cancers I don’t see why you wouldn’t. We need DB depth real bad.

Maybe Matthews but after that stunt Harris pulled I doubt Kelly will take him.

Anyway Culotta is throwing shite on a wall and hoping it sticks. One might stick but 99 didn't.

It’s against Texas state law for NIL to be tied to an institution.

I bet there will be a lot more looking to get on Kelly's bandwagon.

Honestly, I think he might if it’s a mutually agreed upon rehab process… a 1 strike, you’re out type deal. Kelly told Emery and McGlothern to get their act together or find another place to play in 2022, so he’s not a respecter of talent. We see how that’s gone so positively for John, it could be the right situation.

I forgot that the mutually agreed rehab was a point. I'm just skeptical of Harris wanting a more disciplinarian type coach. Now if he wants to "get right" then being here would set him up for success.

It sounds like what they do is tie it to your geographic residence - "as long as you live within 50 miles of the greater Bryan-College Station area." Gordon said that is how he does it.

Would be pretty dumb to not go all in for Mathews.

I like Jordy. But he is a fanboy who constantly takes a small nugget of accurate information and overexaggerates it into "fact" he reports as accurate. It is likely Jordy spoke to a family member of one or both of those players (he's knows Tack Minor somewhat well) who said they think the kids might have interest in LSU and is reporting it as the kids themselves having interest.

I wouldn't take too much of what he says with a lot of credibility. Case in point, I spoke with him a few days before LSU hired BK and Jordy was absolutely certain LSU was going to hire Napier. Jordy didn't have any inside information. He was just being used by Napier's representation to churn up support at LSU for Napier...who wanted the LSU job. Consequently, Jordy wanted Napier to get the job because it would, he hoped, give him inside access to the program.

He's entertaining. He works really hard to get great guests on his show. He's not the most credible LSU media member

Gordon will inevitably end up with a kid at Southern on a previously done LSU NIL deal at some point.

I would be really surprised if those guys had any trouble transferring.

If their NIL deals were legit, I don't think the language can prevent a kid from leaving a school, he just won't get paid anymore.

If their NIL deals are not within the rules, the A&M boosters would be dumb to pursue legal recourse and expose potential violations.

I believe the way this works isn't a certain geographic area, but rather require personal appearances at certain places, so if a guy transfers too far away and can't make the appearances, he's in breach of contract and won't get paid anymore.

That said, that's pretty easy to get out of. He just stops being paid on the original NIL deal. I don't think they can go back after money already paid to them.

Surely at some point boosters will begin "buying out" prior NIL deals for transfers. Sort of like when a school poaches a coach and pays the contractual buyout to the other school.

No joke. First person he hugged Saturday was John Emery.

Why would you believe anything Jordy says? That guy is on the outside looking in. Has no sources at LSU. None. Zero. His show operates purely on speculation.

If you actually listen to him and his “hot takes”, he’s fricking horrible.

Hard pass on Harris. Give me Matthews though - kid wanted to be a Tiger in the first place.

Would love to see Matthews add some muscle and move into more of a Jabril Cox type LB role. Feel like he would really excel there.

I am not sure I understand what he is referring to here. NIL cannot bind a player to a school. Maybe they would owe restitution which I also believe is illegal.
