? but if LSU needs another QB in this class, there are problems in depth right now. MB must be looking like not coming back and somebody is leaving.
Or it could have nothing to do with class, depth, or Brennan. Could simply be our new OC really likes his film, his make-up/character vouched for by someone he trusts, he personally liked what the kid said when he actually spoke to him himself, and he determined he is a player he’d like to work with and thinks could be special.

Everyone is losing their shite over this and failing to connect the dots.
The kid lives in L.A. (Los Angeles), but his family is from LA. (Louisiana). His father and uncle were born and raised in New Iberia. His uncle is the managing director of CAA...one of, if not the biggest talent (sports and entertainment) agencies in the nation. His father is a a multi-millionaire money manager/investor for some of the biggest celebrities in the world. He also happens to be an LSU alum and even has an office in Baton Rouge. Does anyone think that kind of money/influence could be somewhat beneficial to the football program? Particularly one who the son plays for?
LSU has some open scholarships. It appears they probably aren't going to fill all three this cycle. So it sounds like they may be using one as a "thank you...hope to see you around more often "(wink-wink) overture to the kid's family in hopes that maybe this will help further relations with the football program. And hell! Maybe the kid turns out to be a pretty good player!
I doubt this means anything with respect to the current QB situation

Based on O's comments he will not be on scholarship
The scholarship is for Brian Thomas or no one
He is a preferred walk on whose parents can afford to pay and gives you another camp arm especially if one transfers
I still think Brennan will be back healthy
Remaining spots will be for transfers LB and best available player

It's a dumb offer if it's not PWO. We need a transfer LB.

And I’m not sure Howard is coming.
There MIGHT be a situation where Walker Howard doesn't come to LSU, but it would involve planet-killing meteors, and some really dystopian shite.

Not that I don't believe you, but where did O say that? I didn't think they could talk about recruits...even if a guy is just being recruited to be a walk-on. The kid's tweet seemed to suggest (along with comments of others) that it was a scholarship offer. I'd imagine because of his family connections to LSU he LONG would have been offered to walk on. Not unlike Gordon McKernan's kid

Maybe. I hope you’re right. My opinion is based solely on numbers and history, I have absolutely zero inside knowledge.

Orgeron said we will have 2, maybe 3, scholarships available for transfers.
We only have 3 available now, so that means they are only taking 1 additional signee at most. Maybe none. (Not including current commits)
That could be BTJ, or Lourd. Can't be both (or anyone else). That's if you are taking those comments at face value and not just generalizations.

Uncle Bryan is Bryan William Lourd (born November 5, 1960) is an American talent agent. He has been partner, managing director and co-chairman of Creative Artists Agency (CAA) since October 1995.
Went to New Iberia HS. Lourd and actress Carrie Fisher were together from 1991 to 1994. They have one daughter, actress Billie Lourd, born in 1992.
Lourd married Bruce Bozzi, the former co-owner of (now owned by Landrys Restaurants) The Palm,[4] on October 12, 2016 .
No humans were injured by New Iberia haircut at any point in this story. I like the potential of this whole thing. He can also greenlight the Joe Burrow story.

This confused me for a bit, but I finally figured it out.
Carrie Fisher was so fricked up she turned him gay.

We have scholarships that are going unused. Use one of those on a transfer LB. That has nothing to do with Lourd.

All the people saying this is a waste of scholarship have not seen the film on this kid. Some of these other kids with huge numbers sit behind big o-lines and got all the time in the world to throw it up. Kid scrambles, avoids tackles, and still can throw laser beams. Has a great long ball. Looks pretty tough and appears to be a Joe Burrow-type quarterback.
Just watched this vid....... SIGN THIS KID NOW!!!!

If you watch the film closely this kids timing gets better and better with his WRs so they obviously went to work. At the start you see him barely making the pass and under throwing by a little. By the end of the video almost every pass is spot on an hitting them in stride. His pocket awareness is very good and he’s mobile as a big thick kid.
At the very least he’s a great back up to our starters and could come in to win some games maybe even surprise some people if or when he got his chance. Kids not going to play for a while, more than likely, but you just never know. He darn well worth a scholarship and I definitely trust our coaches on this. The new OC might just see his own mold here. Let him do his thing.
Everyone is freaking out about the OL but if 3 out of the remaining backups who haven’t played a game develop, along with the guys we picked up last year and this year, that’s a starting 5 with back ups. We also still have 2 spots remaining to pick up transfer LBs. Or one really good LB and OLman! What’s the deal with some of you people? We’re good! LSU isn’t so far behind that we need to freak the hell out and we have options if holes still need to be filled.

This dude is very under rated. Cali kids ratings were hit the worst with no camps or fall season.
Kids film is phenomenal
It is a real offer but as of now its a blue shirt offer which means he will be on the team but can't play and his scholly won't hit 2021 class, will hit the 2022 class.
If you think 1 level further than 2021. Whether brennan is healthy or not, this year will be his last. Also, expect TJ to transfer. The QB room going into 2022 will be Max (jr), nuss (so), lourd (so), walker (fr).
With transfer portal in full swing, continuing to protect/pad the QB room is a must.
Lastly, he has offers from ole miss and liberty. May not sound like much but Kiffon and Freeze are two of the most respected offensive minds and QB developers in the game right now and they wanted him.

He was pretty good as a junior against what looks like suspect competition, but he also started training with NFL guys in the off-season. There was an article about him training with Burrow last summer. Greg Biggins the 247 writer for the west region made it seem like he was set to get a massive bump if there were camps and a hs season. Not saying he would’ve been a 4*, but probably inside the top 1000 compared to where he is now. At some point, they just get lazy with these ranking because there is no way a kid who throws for 3k yards as a junior has 1400 players better than him. Especially when you see the touch and accuracy he did it with.

If Kiffin and Freeze are both looking, then the kid has something. I think he’s definitely worth the offer. The numbers crunch of this year just makes it look odd, but a blueshirt situation actually makes sense.

Watch his platform and how wide his base is as he maneuvers the pocket. That alone for a 16 year old is very impressive. Even many of the top guys don't do that right now. Im sure his size is knocking him down as well. Not hyping him up as if he is going to compete immediately but watching how important Kyle trask and Mac Jones were to UF and Bama as low rated guys coming in under 5 stars have to make you think that this is a great depth play.

It means you know nothing about what is going on behind scenes in QB room

All I know is that if you have a chance to put Princess Leia’s daughter’s half-brother on your team, you take it.
