We currently have 4 scholarship QB’s on campus, and another big one committed for next years class, I just feel like we have bigger holes to fill in this class

The coaches might have the inside knowledge that this number of QB's will not be on campus next season.
ETA: I fully expect TJ Finley to transfer. That's 1 of 4 right there.
And MB's injury recovery could be in doubt - who knows

If that were the case they should be getting an upperclassman through the portal.
This guy looks like he could have potential, but he won’t be immediate help.

I don't know if anybody has watched this kids film, but the throws he is making are way beyond the typical 3 star QB. This kid is throwing laser beams on the run, and making some really long throws in the air, about 60 yards downfield.

Yes, I was very surprised by the throws this kid was making and he is not slow either.
This is just a guess, but do the coaches believe we are losing one or two QB's to the transfer portal? Or is Brennan's career done and Finley ends up transferring?? I don't know, but this Lourd kid definitely looks like a kid who can play in the SEC and play well.

I still believe he’s a PWO.
BUT, if he’s not, I have an issue with it from a depth perspective, not because of this kid. He looks talented.
The fact that he doesn’t have better offers is understandable considering no camps and California didn’t play this year. Still had some P5 and G5 offers.
If this is due to Finley leaving, then you’re replacing a RS freshman with a true freshman.
If it’s due to Brennan leaving (or both), then they should be getting an experienced transfer in the portal.
Having 3 or 4 freshmen/RS freshmen at QB next year doesn’t make sense.

The AYS guys have sources and they say this is a real offer, and that “LSU may be telling you something without telling you something”. That’s bad fricking news. We need to staunch the bleeding as soon as fricking possible. What the frick is going on with this program

If Finley transfers because he’s down on the depth chart or Brennan is still injured, neither of those things indicate anything is “going on” with the program.
