That said, he was pretty different than what I thought he'd be. He was more of a deep threat guy at Liberty, up around 18-20 YPR and scored a good amount of TDs. I know this is the SEC with faster DBs, but man I thought he'd be taking the top off defenses.
I think the coaches expected that also but he never was able to get separation from dbs. Solid enough player but i'm not sure how much more he had to offer at this level.

He's testing his free agency. He might not get paid as he wants. The question then is....do we take him back?

We couldn’t hit a deep ball all year until the last game and he wasn’t utilized in that way at all. He was the most underutilized player on the offense
He was hurt most of the season and never got to full health. He lacked the burst to get open deep.

If Nussmeier stays he should probably stay. If Nussmeier leaves he may want to play with a more experienced QB his senior year (that could eventually mean LSU, but maybe not).

The portal doesn't even open until 12/9. This is what is likely going on. Trying to get a piece of the NIL pie Underwood and Phillips left behind.

Everyone is replaceable, but can LSU attract someone who fits the bill? To this point, they haven't shown they can.
Id go after Omarion Miller and Harvey Broussard. Both are around 6'1 to 6'2 and had talent enough to develop at LSU originally.

How is Cortez Hankton, our WR coach and co-OC, doing with WR recruitment, retention and development.?
Not so good, it seems ...

Didn't he get benched for low effort anyway?

College football is all basically unrestricted free agency

Dumbfounded at this one

That’s super fricked up but Lonn is also routinely wrong.
For anyone missing context, CJ’s mom has epilepsy. CJ and his brother had to learn at a young age how to care for her when she had seizures, etc. They are now advocates for epilepsy awareness. LSU Gold did a nice feature on it.

He's transferring to spite someone named Jackboy? Is that correct? Is that someone who is known?

Result of Sloan not utilizing him properly lol

Sloan didn't use many of his players properly.
Dude barely used zavion Thomas after finding something with him out of the backfield early in the yr.
Trey Dez green should've gotten at least 3 seam shots a game.
Same with aa. He should be getting at least a few screens a game.
