Charles Ross , jaiden baker ,West weeks and Keylan Moses is a hell of a lb room. All have skillsets that can help our defense right away. Charles Ross is a super polished lb paired with freak athleticism he wil be our solution to mobile qbs, Jaiden baker is another kid that can absolutely fly sideline to sideline, Moses is a flat out leader who tackles well in space and weeks plays with his hair on fire just like his brothers. One of the better lb hauls we’ve had in quite some time

I feel like Ross could really fill that STAR role down the line. I know thats a "Safety" position, but he seems like a natural fit there with his size and speed.

Is Ross expected to play LB?

The reason I ask is because doesn't he have legit track speed? I think he's the one who ran a 10.3 100 meter dash. I wasn't sure if he was a safety/LB guy

I’ve noticed good young lb depth usually translates to good special teams .

A two deep with LBs Weeks/Keys and STAR Perkins as starters, with LBs Atkins/Braker/Moses and STAR Ross/Toviano as the two's would be insanely athletic.

He's very light for a LB. Barely 200lbs. At this point he looks more like a hybrid player, but LB is his position.

No he isn't. He is a freak athlete but his scouting report reads like a Perkins clone. It says that he is great in space and great on the move but is slow to diagnose and react as an ILB.

Incredible athlete but will need to add weight and work on the mental side.

LINK

His tape is not at all comparable to Perkins they play nothing alike. Perkins wasn’t a true lb in HS and wasn’t rlly asked to be he was just an insane athelte. Ross has been a true LB in HS for north shore’s defense and actually calls the plays and runs their defense. Their local news station that covers their HS team actually wrote a great article on Ross and his role on their defense I suggest you read it. Yes he still is raw in some of the things you mentioned but he has been a true LB his HS career Perkins wasn’t that in HS

I think Jimcoily is a LB too. Will be a box safety if not.

Braker more of an edge. Moses possibly too, he looks best on the attack.

Ross has elite traits. Covering, rushing the passer, running in space.

He kind of reminds me of Demarvion Overshown at this point. He was light to be a LB, same weight as Charles now, but ridiculously athletic. He went on to be a really successful LB at Texas and is now breaking out as a star for the Cowboys.

I'm super excited about Ross....he's a hitting machine and has what a coach once said.. he has POH ability.

Plays Over Hits POH...he hits and it's over

He's like a Jaguar hitting wild boar

Good call. Speed at LB and safety helps mitigates the running QB. They just need to stay gap disciplined and tackle.

I never said he was a bad player or won't be great. I said that his scouting report says that he has strengths and weaknesses similar to Perkins.
