Ward won the Jerry Rice Award during the spring season at Incarnate Ward (a private university in San Antonio). This fall, he led all FCS passer with 47 touchdowns to go along with 4,648 yards (third nationally) and a 65% completion rate. Thursday, Cameron entered the transfer portal. It’s early, but 247Sports projects him to be one of the most popular names in the entire transfer market. It’s a preliminary grade, but 247Sports expects Ward to carry a rating in the 90s. That’s something only three other transfer QBs – Quinn Ewers, Spencer Rattler and Dillon Gabriel – can claim thus far.
“The dude is an absolute freak,” one Power Five coach told 247Sports.
A lightly recruited quarterback from West Columbia, Texas – population of 3,878 – Ward ran a Wing-T offense in high school. He rarely threw the ball and no matter how hard he and his father tried, they couldn’t catch the attention of FBS schools.
“There was no film,” Calvin Ward told 247Sports. “They knew [Cameron] could throw. But there wasn’t any actual proof because of the Wing-T offense he was in. Nobody was willing to take a chance except for (Incarnate Word).”

that throwing motion.
Yikes.

but that throwing motion.
Not comparing, but Tebow had a terrible throwing motion also.

GET. HIM.
I have no idea if he is the answer but sometimes the Lord works in mysterious ways...
He has good size which is kind of a basic thing for me. Dillon Gabriel carries high rating but is small however Bryce Young and Kyler Murray say hey here...

He gets the ball where it needs to be very quickly.

He's got a cannon and the film looks pretty good, but that throwing motion.
Love the way he moves in the pocket.

They run Leach’s air raid offense at ICW.

His movements are so natural.
Who cares about his throwing motion.
This is a kid i could get excited about. Ward is natural in the pocket. You can't teach that.

Looks like Philip Rivers to me. He turned out ok.

I just see a whole lot of passes knocked down at the line of scrimmage.
But I'm not saying no. You'd get two years of a guy capable of making plays if this is your QB.
And if the buzz is correct and Fuente is coming, this is a Paxton Lynch type of project with a year head start to it.

Get this kid. Best QB in the portal aside from Ewers.

Geez, it looks like he's throwing some of those passes under-handed. He reminds me of the old Pittsburgh Pirate pitcher Kent "the submariner" Tekulve.

Philip Rivers had an okay career with an odd throwing motion

Throwing motion reminds me of Vince Young. Tape looks really good. I don't know if he can get away with some of those throws in the SEC, but the man can sling it.
