Trust the DC at NorthShore … worked at LSU under Moffett

His offer list is pretty bad. Why do you think he is going to end up so high?
Give it a couple of weeks. We were ahead of the push with Ross. Helps to have a friendly staff at NS to make us aware of him. Also some of his offers received in the past 7-10 days arent showing on his profile. Texas offered earlier in the week according to their top site(IT/ON3).
The reason he should/could end up so high is because hes a 6'2 200 LB with legit(official track time)speed, good tape and an impressive camp showing to his credit in early March as a complete unknown(how at NS?) just a month ago. He and the Ty Jackson kid from FL are my 2 favorite LBs(not necessarily the best prospects) in the class at this point. Not sure if LSU is on Jackson or not. His film is very goood.

Will he be a linebacker or a
Safety?
Safety?

Patrick Queen was 6' 190 when we offered. Ross will bulk up. I can see him in that mold.

dont pay attention to offer lists for Jr's until after this summer
this kid's verified track times alone will have him a few dozen P5 offers by then

Charles Ross, 2025 LB from Northshore HS in Houston, TX, commits to LSU!
6’2 200 10.4 100m (he fast)
Actually, I just saw his best 100m time was 10.6, not 10.4. He is the #5 LBer in Texas and overall 40th rated player in that state. He is currently rated a low 4* and after looking at his highlights, that is about right IMO. His offers are pretty weak at this point...LSU, Baylor, and Pitt being the best. I don't have a problem with him being offered a scholarship, but as far as talent goes, compare him more to West Weeks, not Whit Weeks I would say. I doubt he will ever start for LSU but seems like a competent depth player. From his highlights, I did not see the explosiveness I see with say a K Collins. JMHO.

What impressed me from his film is that he maintains his gaps and responsibilities and doesn't run himself out of a play. Something our D couldn't do to save it's life last season. It doesn't create as many eye popping plays, but sound gap play would have won us 1-2 more games last season at least.

Fair enough, I appreciate the serious responses like this. If Baker likes him, then great, I am happy with take. I hope he goes on to be an All-American, I was just curious why major college coaches haven't been on him since North Shore is a powerhouse. It's a little ridiculous that you can't ask questions here without being downvoted into oblivion, that's fine though.

There are definitely spots in college football for the Ron Sancho types. I don't think he will ever approach former LSU LBer Ron Sancho status but he looks more like a Tyler Grubbs type who started at La Tech and later Tulane. Like I said, I just don't see him as an explosive type of player. I'll stick with my prediction he will never start an LSU game but that doesn't mean he can't contribute as a special teams player and 2nd string guy.

Ok, so basically in the middle of 10.4 and 10.6.
For the record, I found an actual time listed at BVM sports site. So I was quoting them. To be fair to them {and me}, that article was written in February I think...your quoted track meet was a few days ago.
"By the Numbers
Charles Ross: Tallying 71 tackles, 6 sacks, and a personal-best of 10.63 in the 100-meter dash."

I'm glad you've determined this kid's trajectory based off of a highlight clip from his Jr season. I think I'll trust Baker and let this play out.

Damone Clark was a speedy LBer who saw a lot of growth under Baker. Who is to sat this kid doesn't develop as well?
