Dude's swing is different with that opposite field power.
Seemed like half of his home runs were to left field.

He has one scouting buddy that works for the Dodgers and almost never gets any of his area guys drafted.
I wonder if that's the same scout that he referenced when arguing with me about Hayden Travinski, back in '23. I've told some of this story before. It was after Hayden got benched in the world series, and Matt was going on about how he was benched because of bad defense and struggles at the plate at the CWS. I chimed in and said I was almost certain he was sitting because of injury. We know Hayden wasn't great defensively, but he was particularly poor in the first matchup with wake, and he was holding his side when walking off after nearly every at bat.
I said that I thought he probably had a strained oblique, or something around that area, and it was affecting him on both sides of the ball. So Matt proceeded to argue and say it was just to get a better catcher in the game, and that there was no injury. Fast forward a few days, Jay makes a statement that Hayden is dealing with an injury around his ribs, so already Matt is wrong about that. Then, Matt was saying something about Travinski struggling at the plate because teams had stopped throwing him fastballs, and he couldn't hit a breaking ball. I chimed in again, and said his struggles appeared to directly coincide with whatever injury he was dealing with, and that I didn't think it was anything more than that. He remembered me from before and accused me of defending Hayden on the basis that I must be related to him. I said I have absolutely no relationship to him. So he says "I know a scout who says that pitchers threw him nothing but fastballs all year and that's why he was hot". I said that was simply not true, and I had watched every game he played.
He then said "Well, no offense, but I'll trust my scout who does this for a living, over some guy". I brought up how I was proven right about the injury that Matt insisted didn't exist, and his response put the cherry on top. He said "Jay lies. He lies about injuries all the time".
At that point, I realized I was talking to a brick wall, and just let it go. First of all, his scouting friend sounds like he doesn't know what he's talking about, and might want to pay better attention, as I saw no less of Travinski than he did, and he was absolutely getting off speed pitches and hitting them. Does Matt really believe that Hayden went on a two month heater, and nobody figured out that they just needed to stop throwing fastballs until the CWS? After the injury, he couldn't hit anything, fastball or not. And lastly, Jay doesn't lie and say a player is hurt. He is notorious for simply not saying anything when someone is hurt, or downplaying it if he says anything at all. He has never lied and said a player is hurt when they aren't. The guy just couldn't admit to being wrong,

Moscona was so sure he was going to Texas. His sources confirmed this.
At least I think that's what he said. Hard to get updates when the show is 97% advertisements and him "taking a break" to shill roofing services or testosterone.
