He’s not coming to LSU but getting a head coach that isn’t a total retard has got to help our chance

With all the negative talk this board has done with "no Manning will come to LSU and they hate us", we gonna have to be on our best behavior now. Just chill for a while. BC if he comes here people will love him if he is successful.

Texas just pulled in an elite OL class

Devon Campbell 5*
Kelvin Banks 5*
Neto Umeozulu Top 100 4*
Malik Agbo 4*
Cole Hutson 4*
Cameron Williams 4*
Connor Robertson 3*

That's the kind of group that can convince a top QB that he will be well-protected in the pocket. My prediction right now

1. Georgia
2. Bama
3. Texas

Georgia gives you the path of least resistance, elite talent and play in the far weaker SEC East, pretty much a guarantee to be SECCG bound every year unless something shocking happens. Bama is Bama, they'll be in it until the end. Texas won't be as talented but they'll get a look, OL should be good enough for Arch.

That’s so false. One of the main reasons he would go there is because of Kiffin. He developed corral into a first round pick.

You guys are nuts if you dont think NIL money is going to be a huge factor in this. If the Mannings are not interested in money then why are they in every fricking commercial? They want their money just like the rest of us.

The narrative that a Manning will never come to LSU is ridiculous as well. Archie will have zero influence over this decision. Peyton would have never gone to Tennessee if the Mannings had made the decision for him. Archie was very forthcoming with the media that it was Peyton's decision and that he did not pressure him. In other words, this will be Arch's decision and only his. For all we know he wants to have a somewhat normal college experience and he wants to be with his friends who are probably all going to LSU.

For those saying Walker Howard is better. Nobody knows that. Every high school qb looks all-world on their high school tape. One thing is for certain is that Arch committing to any school is a bigger draw for other 5 star recruits than any other kid in the country. Kids from all over the country will jump at the chance to play with him while the same cannot be said for a Walker Howard. That is no disrespect to Howard's abilities. Manning has that name recognition that kids want to be associated with.

LSU is looking good because of avg competition at the QB position. He would ride the pine at UT or bama for 2 or 3 years, maybe even OM

These days it doesn’t really matter if Howard may or may not be better as a prospect. Just go where you want to go, and if it turns out the depth chart isn’t working out in a few years, hit the portal without missing a year. At that point you can go where you know you will be the starter.

The point is, the NIL money he will be able to command will not really be of the ‘wink and nod’ booster type that the first person to reference this was talking about.

This is such a good point. Not just for Arch Manning but in general. Parents play a huge role in most of these decisions and while O's shtick might've worked with some families, it wasn't going to work with everyone. Parents were reading about O's off field stuff just like everyone else. That combined with the product on the field doesn't seem like it would be very appealing.

But now LSU has an actual adult man coming into living rooms representing the program. He's probably not as much fun and dull compared to Coach O but at least he's a normal head coach. Not some cartoon or a Boudreaux and Thibodeaux joke come to life.

Lol

Kiffin had NOTHING to do with Corral anymore so than Ed O had anything to do with Burrow. They were both very talented players long before they ever stepped foot on their perspective campuses. (And if they were worried about development he will end up at Texas with Cutfliff because he coached his uncles)

Arch will be a first round pick regardless of where he goes to college so that’s irrelevant.

The Manning’s don’t like Kiffin and know that he is a joke of a coach.

I honestly believe LSU will get a fair opportunity from the Mannings. If CBK seeing this as an opportunity worth pursuing, he absolutely will.

I guess I'm nuts then. The Manning brand can do more to promote him than any school can.

Great propects that don't yet have the name recognition, sure NIL offers from the school means a lot for them.

there is zero chance Manning doesn't end up at alabama. Saban is producing starting QBs in the league and he could step right in for Bryce Young immediately.
