If this was Frank's doing, why did Richard Anderson sign yesterday? It is probably a kid that wants the spotlight. They do this sometimes. They are still kids. Just hopefully he comes in ready to play and is not just a money grab.

How do you explain a top recruit meeting Lane when he arrived and then suddenly not signing? Its no secret that Frank is pissed about not being rb coach. I also do have it on pretty good info from 3 people that are very connected.

His coordinator and position coach going from being retained to looking at head coaching and DC positions at two other schools.

frick you and your “people” who don’t have any more facts in this situation than you do.

Teenagers love attention. I think this is all it is. Lamar has been all lsu and even met Lane on Sunday.
Until we hear otherwise, I’ll assume he’s all LSU.

I'm sorry but Frank is not a good running backs coach. I think he should stay on in some capacity but not rb coach.

What gets me is how Frank said in the press conference after Kelly was fired that he would go wherever the university needed him because he “loved “ LSU so much , and now that narrative is abundantly false . What Frank does well is recruiting. What Frank does not do well is coach. The mishandling of our RB’s this year forfeits all of his leverage in my opinion. When you have the former #1 RB out of HS and he is getting 10 or less carries a game then you have failed . Period !

I just see all these defensive linemen, or their agents, using the coaching change as leverage. Baker is a very good coach, and has been a top coordinator for years. It's his time to be a HC somewhere. It's going to happen now or after next season. These kids will probably have multiple DL coaches their college career. So this....I don't know who the coaches will be doesn't make as much sense as they think.

The answer is who’s going to be my position coach, it’s that simple

Like Underwood last year, it probably works out better to spend the bag on the transfer portal than a freshman.

Nailed it.

What these kids don’t realize is that all these immature cat and mouse antics they pull doesn’t make any college want to sign them except for the one writing them a check

People think that things worked out well this year? You'd rather have a 7 win season than Bryce Underwood...?

We hire the best coach in the country to lose the best prospect in the country that is a rock's throw from the coach's office?

Yes, he was so good that Michigan refused to let him throw the ball. He wouldn’t have made a difference.

My bad. I thought he did. If it is Frank, he needs to grow up and if he is truly LSU, go where he is best needed.

I'd rather have Lane Kiffin than Brian Kelly.

Don't matter he will be the one regretting it in a year or two I'm sure like Underwood. He got his bag but he's looking like a 7th round pick in his first year

To be fair, in LSU’s offense this season he’d have looked like a non-priority undrafted free agent. If he’d have even played.

In fact, hypothetically, if he were to transfer to LSU, his flip to Michigan might have been the best scenario. He got a season’s worth of experience that he wouldn’t have gotten at LSU, and he’s walking into a top offense.

If they don’t go out and spend Underwood’s money on the defense that bum arse team probably wins 5 games this year.

Losing high schoolers doesn’t hurt nearly as much as it used to.

It really doesnt hurt at all. Why am I going to pay a bunch of money to an unproven drama queen teen when i get a mature proven player from the portal?

Let these kids go somewhere else.

frick all of that mindset. First off, over 60% of 5 stars go on to be drafted and a high number of them in the first round. This has been consistent over the last two decades.

You pay up and deal with the drama because you are getting recruits at 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of what the same level of player will cost in the portal. And most years, players as good as what these two could become do not enter the portal. Walter Nolan is pretty much the only DL of that caliber in the last 2 years. Gooden was one of the best in last year’s cycle and he was just a solid starter and nowhere close to All-SEC caliber. You just cannnot bank on these guys being there every year.

And last and most obvious, you get them for 3-4 years, not 1.

Some of you need to learn what supply and demand are and start lining that up with what is about to be a much more limited amount of money to spend with rev share.

For a small class it’s ranked pretty high.
