Yeah outside of McKinnon and maybe PJ Carter, we didn’t have much shooting

King, Carter, Reese, and even Thomas were very very streaky

And none of our bigs could step out and hit the 3

Tamba did a few times but only when teams dared him to and he still didn’t shoot well

While I'm not going to say every player LSU signs for next year's roster will be the greatest player ever without actually seeing them play for LSU first, any comparisons to last year...or the last 4 years....are foolish

It’s been what a month give or take? We are storming out of the gates beating schools outright like Kansas, Duke, Kentucky, St. John’s, BYU (new money kids) to name a few. Won’t down on CMM but it feels different as it should.

I pretty sure The pirate king had a ban bet with multiple people when the NOA came out that Wade would never coach another game at LSU. Man the season cannot come fast enough.

You can probably be a little more optimistic about this one as compared to others. He’s played 3 seasons, last year he played in the big 12 and averaged just under 25 min a game, and he has consistently shot well from 3.

There is a bit of a caveat. He only played 5 games against Big 12 opponents. He suffered a foot injury that caused him to miss the last 14 games of the season.

In the 5 Big 12 games he did play he shot 37% from 3 (not bad). But he was also 7/15 from 3 vs. Nebraska; 4/6 vs. Miss St. 6/12 vs. Creighton.

But at the very least he is a big guard with high major experience, that you can plug with any other potential guard or lineup. Dream finish would be Hampton reclassifying to 26’, Graves coming to LSU instead of staying in the draft, Burks from UCF, and either Dessert or Fernandez for a high level big.

This board has a lot of stink on it. Hopefully that will dissipate once the winning starts

Wade said what, 7-8 players and maybe some filler after?

Seems like he is close to what he told us.

Not sure I’ve ever seen a player shoot a higher percentage on 3PA vs 2PA lol

39% 3pt
36% 2pt

Look closely and you'll see he's done it three straight seasons

It happens (albeit rarely) with players who are designated snipers. Kyle Korver for example.

Korver in college shot 45/51

In nba was 42/46

And that’s a guy with one of the best 3pt%’s ever

Hence the word rarely.

My point was, he had a few seasons in the NBA where his 3pt % was higher than his FG %
