From what I understand, based on his speed and how stiff he appears in coverage our staff believes Williams will end up at LB in college

Are you insinuating the kid has personal problems HOSS?
I will bet my life that you don't say hoss in your everyday life

On highlights, the kid has a physical frame like Delpit, yet has the insane in-the-box game of Jamal Adams.

This kid looks like he can pursue, hit & blitz.

I could even see some Isaiah Simmons position versatility developing one day, if he gets Moffittized.

Kaine Williams is most likely a LB at the next level. I think he's someone the coaches wanted to see in a camp however the current times make that tough. Not sure if it will matter but i'm sure they'll continue to recruit him and may push harder later on in the cycle.

Rankings aside, Gee and Mitchell are two of the best pure safeties on the market.

Dakota Mitchell is a completely different type of safety prospect than the other two. Mitchell is more of the cover guy but can also come down and hit you. The other two Ryan and Gee are your typical safeties. Not as good in coverage but can generate fear with their hitting and also not bad in coverage. Mitchell is like a corner/safety hybrid and the other two are the safety/linebacker hybrid. We have been recruiting this way for a while now. Since Aranda and Bush for sure.

Because we need safeties not a guy listed at safety but will play LB.

Watch some tape and look at some offer sheets man. This kid is a much more fluid athlete and better safety prospect than Kaine. Now, Sage Ryan is an instate safety prospect we are surely focusing on.
It looks like Ryan will start out at CB.

I think Williams can stay at safety in college if he doesn’t pack on too much weight. The reason LSU was hesitant to accept his commitment twice is because Williams had a better sophomore year than junior year. His lofty recruiting ranking is based on early physical development. That’s really it.

Side note Khari looks bigger than 185 lbs.

Yeah if he is a true 6ft 3” or even 6ft 2” then he looks closer to 200 than 185 lbs off his recent pics.

Ratings are not 100% accurate. The kid got offered by LSU and Clemson. He’s good.

This was an LSU - Clemson battle. That should tell you all you need to know about his potential. However, he has been ours to lose for a while.

He doesn't have an offer from uga (and he's from Georgia) or Bama. They are going after the top safeties and DBs. LSU should go after all the top dogs too, unless they see something they evaluate differently than others. Clemson fighting for him sounds good tho. Maybe under the radar kid? Congrats to him and hope he turns out to be a stud
