Found out that there was a curfew at 5:45, and was looking for places to get hot food and beers. I got stopped by this bad boy on Hyacinth
Also, saw a tree fall on a powerline in my neighborhood, transformer blew, and it made my power come back on?
I didn't see anyone working in the neighborhood either. No idea why it happened, but I like it

Anyone watching WBRZ?
Pat's on the controls moving the radar around and him and the anchors are trying to find the Tchefuncte River without much luck. "Pat you're going the wrong way."

Does anyone know what is causing the massive flooding in Laplace?

Influx of extra water from storm surge and rain.
That's just my best guess though.

no Levee's to protect it from Lake P and they've been getting poured on for almost 24 hours now.

quote:WBRZ said a few minutes ago (Sylvia Weatherspoon) that the LaPlace flooding is a result of the pumps in New Orleans working so well resulting in the water being pumped out of New Orleans so fast.
Does anyone know what is causing the massive flooding in Laplace?
I kid you not. She said it with a straight face.

Perhaps she was talking about how the pumps are dumping water into Lake P and isn't helping the situation...

I took a shower earlier so if I somehow lose water, I'll be okay.
Still have the house at 65 and I'm freezing.
Lucy will have to poop soon and I will have to carry her through a good bit of flooding to get to some grass.

I used to think that Entergy hated Bluebonnet, but after only a brief 3 hour outage today, and rocking my central AC all afternoon, I'm turning all my vitriol towards Cox. For now.

So did Isaac tear the rest of the Swine exhibit building down at the Ag Center that the contractors started this week on campus?
