Let me ask y'all since i don't know much about power companies. People on my Facebook saying shite like: "Demco surprised me. We've never gone this long in a storm without power going out. Just now lost it!"
I simply stated that they should take the wind/trees for not knocking their lines down and causing the power to go out until now.
They responded that no.. it's Demco because every little breeze usually makes their power go out.
Is it just me or does that have nothing to do with Demco? I mean, yeah it's their lines that they put up, but it's not like they're sitting there with a "turn power off" button every time that area gets a breeze

Still got power here. How's everyone else doing?

The center's getting closer. The wind is picking up.
It looks like the center might cut through southwest EBR.

I would attribute it to trees but you never know maybe Demco made some upgrades

Entergy shuts of the power as a precaution. I promise you that. The sun was shining yesterday at 5PM when my power went off on Bluebonnet.

well I guess I need to call them and ask them why they haven't shut it off yet as a precaution

Why else would my power go off with no wind, rain or storm. Riddle me that crap.
Posted on 8/29/12 at 6:31 pm to LouisianaLady
If demco went out and trimmed branches around lines, etc then you probably could attribute that to them. hell i know im happy with my demco service. only lost power for 2 hours so far

Again, I guess I should call them and ask them to go ahead and turn it off

I believe that infrastructure plays some important role as well.....although you are correct is saying that electrical companies usually take too much of the blame for power going down.
