If Cantore is on the river walk, the river is floating upriver at Nola. Anyone know if he is east or west bank?

I agree. I'm not far from you and still have it. Getting text from friends all around and even the river ridge folks with underground power lines saying they are down.

New Orleans is really going to get it. Gusting to 67 at Lakefront Airport and Isaac is still over water.

I've been looping the radar for the past 3 hours, and it doesn't look like the eye has moved much at all. I don't where they get these directional movement from because it looks almost stalled.

Also the thunderstorms are trying to wrap around the bottom. If they close off the east side that's not good.

Joe Bastardi tweeted this a few minutes ago:

Did Cantore just say that "we are on the eve of New Orleans worst nightmare?" TWC is really reaching on this one tonight, even for them.

IMO, it all depends on the winds. If wind gusts stay relatively mild and don't knock out lots of power, strong chance of game on. Otherwise, pushed back a day or two.

If it's 79 degrees and snows in the middle of a hurricane, that would cement the inevitability that the end is near.
