If you are looking for just a push mower, go electric.

I've noticed recently that HD and Lowes have way more electric stuff than gas these days

That's repulsive.

Is it worth getting the HRX vs HRN?

Also seems the Husqvarna mowers with Honda engines are all discounted. Any idea where to find one if I go that route?

Let me know if you'll be around this weekend and I’ll come by and get the mower. I’ll be free Friday afternoon, Sat and evening and Sun evening.

thanks for investigating for me.

I picked one up tonight from Lowes in Gonzales. If it's as good as the previous one, it won't need parts for a while, and I've got to believe China will pump out some parts when needed.

Honda is still making the small engines, just not the mowers
The engines are great.

I picked up a 22" Toro self-propelled with a Honda engine from Home Depot. It was in their Rentals section, for sale. $275, with all the stuff (bag, etc; even threw in a spare blade).

Home Depot in Hammond is showing they have 33 in stock. You might want to check Home Depot around where you live. The model below is the only Honda model that they are showing that’s in stock

Honda is stopping production later this year, so inventory is diminishing.
I finally found a pushmower that has lasted me for over ten years and now they want to stop production.

My dad would be sad, he had a honda composite deck mower for 30 yrs, i had a craftsman w a honda engine for 20+ yrs. Eventually the rings went in both mowers.
As said earlier for a town lot a battery electric is fine. I am on yr 3 w a ryobi and no plans going back to ice

Sort of a thread hijack -

For anyone reading and/or with experience with either of these mowers or similar mowers, if you had to pick between an electric 40V Ryobi mower versus a Honda HRX gas powered cutting approximately 1/3 of an acre, for long term reliability, etc., which would you choose?
