Echo 225 or Base level Stihl with straight shaft only.

I have the Echo PAS 225 and like it a lot for its power versatility and reliability. It's similar to the Echo SRM 225, which is likely a little better as just a string trimmer.

The Echo PAS 225 is the power head and you can add attachments such as a string trimmer, brush cutter, pole saw, hedge shears, edger, blower and more.

I use it primarily as a string trimmer, pole saw and brush cutter and it works great on approximately 2.5 acre wooded lot. The string trimmer has a speed feed head and it is great.

Correct. And that is easily fixed by removing the cover and screen and burning the carbon off the metal screen with a lighter. That and keep the air filter clean and good fuel and it will run forever.

Not good for a high rpm unit, run it max rpm and you’ll have less carbon build up. This info comes from the dealer I buy from and their wrench.

Gas - Exho but find a commercial grade
Battery - I have an Ego carbon shaft also and I gotta say, it’s a bad mofo.

I have a Milwaukee battery b/c I was in the ecosystem before getting EGO

I've had an Echo weed eater and backpack blower going on 22 years now and they still start easily. Great product.
