Getting the roof replaced post Ida. What's the going cost per sf right now? Just want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off. Got 3 local contractors coming to give me quotes.

My roof replacement was literally 350... per square. All in.

How many squares is your roof? Mine is 54. Got quotes from 20-30k. Local guys were the highest at 27k and 30k.

Realizing my insurance company is giving me the deep dicking since they are “paying to replace the roof” but then taking half out for depreciation.

neighbor had a 2 sided gable roof done for $8,100 on a 25x45 home
we had our 4 sided roof done for $10,500 on a 30x50 home
we had 3 guys quote just at or over $20k, one other guy quoted $15k

Roofs are measured in "squares" and each Sq. is equal to 100sqft. My post Ida roof is costing $460 a Sq. I had a few lower quotes from out of state companies but decided to stay local and pay a little more and wait a little longer. My roof is also very steep in a lot of places (12:12/16:12) which makes it more expensive.

$520 a square for standing seam metal. New construction tho. Near Austin TX.

Just had 34 squares done in Mandeville for around $12,500.

You file a supplementary claim with the invoice from the roofer when they are done and they will give you the difference. They do this so you don’t go out and shop for a cheaper price and just pocket the extra money.
