2 weeks old. I just had it unplugged for about 20 minutes. Plugged it back in went to start working like normal and after a couple minutes stopped and started flashing the sense light again.

Does sense light flash a number?

Take it as a hard lesson and get rid of it. We had a washer and dryer with that water this and sensing that and tossed those pieces of shite for a couple of bare bones top loader washer and dryer with simply a timer and have been happy with it for 5 years now

Maytag has an excellent warranty. I’d call Maytag and leave Lowe’s out of it.

Problem with buying appliances from places like Lowe’s and Home Depot is that they’re not the same appliances like you would get from a smaller appliance store. They’re made cheaper with cheaper parts.

I purchased a Husqvarna chainsaw from Lowe's, after Katrina, and one of the chain bar bolts was knocked back into the bar oil chamber when I was changing the chain and dropped it. I brought to a local shop that was a Husky certified repair place where the guy told me he doesn’t work on those. Asked him why, he said, just by a quick look at it, you got the at Lowe’s huh? Which caught me off guard, and said yeah. He said the stuff you get at Lowe’s isn’t the same as you get from smaller equipment places.

I did some research on it and the guy was right, that stuff is made cheaper to sell in bulk. That’s how all those big box places sell their stuff for a much lower price.

Could be something stuck partially blocking the drain line, the pump underneath could have debris in it also. There's videos on how to troubleshoot it.

Anyone have the same problems ?

About 3-4 years ago, we bought a maytag from lowes. We didn't have that problem, but after several issues in the first week or two, we called them up and they replaced it without hassle.

ETA: Ours has been great, but they are very finicky about having balanced loads.

frick lowes. good luck dealing with their lack of a warranty

wife bought a new dishwasher from them and paid to have Lowe's install it

stopped working a month into it

Lowe's said you gotta take it up with the manufacturer, not us

manufacturer sent out a local company that took 8 trips over 4 months to figure it out

About halfway into it I was ready to uninstall it myself and bring it to Lowe's and cause a scene but the wife talked me out of it.

You can bring a fricking used tool back or an unused generator after a storm like a scum bag but they don't honor a product they sold and installed. unbelievable. spent my last dollar there

I know it's tempting, but you're really not supposed to sit on those machines while they're operating. Especially if you're a girl of size.

Made the mistake of buying a new Maytag from Lowes when our 20+ year old Maytag quit. Had the same issue and resolved it by removing the lid lock all together. That did fix that issue but even when working correctly it was a POS. Clothes would come out stained from the soap pods not dissolving due to the lack of water and agitation. Moved that POS out to the garage after 10 months and bought the most basic Speed Queen. That POS Maytag is still in my garage as I can't even get anyone to give me $100 for it. Ditch the Maytag if Lowes will take it back and buy a SQ, you will be very glad you did.

Unbalanced

If you are washing sheets or other bulky shite it will shut down if unbalanced

Did you buy them in 1983? Maytag hasn't been lighting Consumer Reports ablaze.

Repair man is at the house right now fixing our 5 month olld Maytag for the second time.

Low water pressure issue. Where the water comes in the have multiple solenoids.

Government mandated bullshite probably.
It is a pile of junk.

Or my wife is lying to me and is , ... oh never mind.

Same here. Replaced the lock, then the whole lid.

Tip- never buy another piece of Maytag anything.

Turn the knob 360° to the left. Then turn it one three clicks right, one click left and one click right.
When all the lights start flashing turn it four clicks right and press start. Let it run. This will recalibrate the machine.

Maytag is a whirlpool..
As is whirlpool, kitchen aid, Amana, jennaire, Crowley and many Kenmores.
All washers not named Speed Queen are junk.
