I’m freaking dying to know what went down….maybe he is dead. Approached the neighbor cool and calm and the neighbor murdered him with a shovel.

Not me.

I just had a new A/C unit installed last month. They installed it to code. They have to install it to code because if they don't, they're the ones that get in trouble. Not me.

Not sure if this is the case in Louisiana, but in Texas a dispute between landowners, as in this case, the property owner is responsible for what is on (or coming from) his property. If it came to a civil suit for damages, OP would have to sue the neighbor, not the pool contractor. Neighbor with the offending equipment would then have to go after the pool contractor. The way this is, and should be, prevented is by getting permits and having proper inspections. The city inspector should have caught this and red tagged it. It should discharge into the sewer system.

I think this is the case in most states….. Recently had some issues with a neighbor’s contractor destroying my mailbox. Ultimately, the homeowner is responsible.

Seems OP is all talk and no action. He probably never even said anything to the neighbor yet

i went and spoke to the woman that lives there. she was very apologetic and was apparently unaware. she is supposed to get in touch with contractor about diverting that pipe towards the street. It was a very cordial discussion and it should be corrected soon i hope.

Not going to lie, I hope the woman was bullshitting him and takes him out in his sleep for not coming back here and giving us an update, especially for giving an update in another thread on another board.
