I bought a Speed Queen Washer and Dryer. Must be a good product to include 7yr warranty.

$3300 with tax but $200 rebate. Little expensive but they supposed to last 25 years.
There's no other point to this thread unless someone wants to convince me to cancel my purchase.

Speed Queen fricks. My family of four washes the frick out of clothes. We've had our Speed Queen W&D set for six years with nary an issue.

We've had 6 service calls in 3 years in our Electrolux.
I was a Speed Queen skeptic but 7 yr warranty parts and labor tells me your product must be great.

I think our 15 year old speed queen washer could survive a direct hit from a nuke

10 year on mine, but the set was more.
No issues in 4+ years.

We bought the same last fall. Love both!

Ours have been solid, no issues. We didn't pay 3k though. They were about 1k each. We got the most basic models, less shite to break.

I've had the same GE washer and dryer for like 35 years.
Got them cheap because they got dented up in shipping.

Keep them running because the next set will last you 5-7 years.

I paid $2,952 with tax in January 2023. Is there anything that hasn't increased significantly in pricing??!!?

My daughter does the laundry and tries to put two loads in one. If she can’t break it, it won’t be broken. Speed Queen is the shite!!!

We have a set, they are work horses but fricking loud!

Speed Queen will be my next set that i buy.
However i have had a Whirlpool set with the old timer dials since 2004. I have done nothing to them. They have been amazing.
I would buy again but im sure just like everything else the quality has gone down.
I have a Kithenaid fridge that is just as old and it has been amazing.
Whirlpool, Kitchenaid, Jenn-Air are same company.
For appliances i will stick with Whirlpool. But i will get Speed Queens for W&D

That kind of $$$ they are just pricing into the cost an extended warranty
Fine if that makes you think a 7 year warranty is a better product

They say these are quiet and should be about 43db. We shall see.

Love mine! 2+ years working like a dog. Old school top load washer with a agitator works very well. To hell with those front load washers.

For those who are considering a Speed Queen, of course it's a high quality washer, but one far less expensive alternative is to find someone who sells old school washers that have a rebuilt transmission, new clutch, etc.
My old Kenmore finally gave way after almost 20 years of great service (and it was probably 10 years old when I bought it secondhand).
I figured let's get another Kenmore (just serviced like above) that was built in 2004 or so, and it cost less than $350 delivered, so it's something to consider.

Please do just a basic amount of research on how SQ is built vs. all the big box mass market garbage before you post something like this.
You are either trolling or misinformed..

Speed queens look like 1990s maytags on the inside that's why they last. They are old school.
. Best be washer you can buy.
. Though the direct drive whirlpool/ kenmore from 1982 to 2009 is a better machine if you have one of those keep it running.

Agreed. It is getting hard to source parts for those older machines though (sadly) like older cars.
You are correct, and my response was directed at the goober saying SQ was just building the cost of their machines into the warranty. They are not. It is a top quality build compared to all the other shite on the market costing 75-80% as much with a basically worthless warranty. (I learned this the hard way but that is a different topic).
Upvote for you, and not sure who the 2 idiots are who DV this.
ETA: I would add the Maytags from about the same time frame to the Kenmore/Whirlpools. That was the washer I had to replace when I made the modern Whirlpool/Maytag mistake, and ended up buying a Speed Queen 4 months later so I could have a reliable machine to wash my damn clothes in less than 50 minutes, and not have to wait weeks to get replacement parts under warranty while their customer service said " sorry, deal with it..."
That POS Maytag from 2021 is still sitting in my garage and I can't get someone to give me $100 for it. It might have washed 40-50 loads of clothes total, and has had 2 transmissions replaced before it was 4 months old. Piece Of shite!!!
