just a few in Hammond. I was out of town the last 2 weeks august so maybe I missed them. As usual I have one dickhead guardian LOL

we were in Colorado those two weeks and I’ve never seen so many hummers in my life they were like mosquitoes

I would think that you did not miss them. Two of the five feeders have what we call hawks that fights all the other ones off.

Lowest numbers of any Labor Day I can remember. The only thing that makes any sense is, the weather has been too stable for a good push here.

I think the hot temperatures up here kept them from moving down your way. Next week the temperatures will drop and they will be gone which will break my wife's heart.

Always jealous of your numbers! I'm in BR with some woods close, but I only tend to get 5-6 max and they are constantly fighting. Currently have 2 feeders in the front and 3 in the back.

More than I’ve ever had in BR. Probably have 15-20 flying around. Had six around one feeder yesterday.

More are still coming in. I guessing 50+ hummers this morning between the five feeders. Tomorrow should be the last day with a cool front coming in tomorrow night.

There are a lot less hummers here today, so they must be heading further South from the incoming cool front.

I haven't seen any at my house. My wife and daughter said they each saw one at separate times. I'll occasionally check the doorbell camera, but nothing yet.

The temperature is 10 to 15 degrees cooler, but I am still getting hummers coming thru at my feeders.

Probably great migration happening. Many at my feeders, too.

I thought for sure the hummers would be gone after the brief cool spell I had, but they are still swarming my five feeders. I am filling at least two of them a day. The temps are forecast to get into the upper 90's this week before another cool front comes in next week.

4 feeders getting refills every day in Prairieville.
Bought more sugar the last month than the whole year.

South BR, two feeders being filled 2x daily, about 8-10 feeding/fighting constantly in daylight hours.

It's my understanding the males take watch and guard their 4 or so females and try to run off any other males/females.

With that said there is enough peace where the feeders are getting drained a couple of times a day.

I found one wedged sideways between the perch and the body of one of my feeders last night. I thought it was dead at first but I nudged him out and he chirped and flew off into the night. Not sure how long he was there. Would love to know how he managed that.

I just found out that a house in my neighborhood where there are normally 4/5 has a swarm. I guess I know where mine are this year. Traitors!

I am still being bombarded by hummers. I am having to refill three or four feeders a day. Early next week it is forecast for a cool front that may push the hummers further South or more to me.

My first year having a feeder. We have had 5-6 the last couple of days, spending most of their time defending the feeder rather than eating I’m loving it. Just ordered 2 more feeders.
