re: Another VBW question
Posted by Tigerroc on 10/26/25 at 9:10 pm to s14suspense
I was late putting MSM Turf and the west here as cool for a week or so and it took about 6 weeks to start showing success and St Augustine started showing some yellowing. But I rather pull hell out of VBW in back yard. Will tackle front yard next spring. Think it has to be certain temp to apply. But it’s all gone now and the dollar weed.
Met ND ppl on our trip to Boston n said we will find out about BK real soon.
Those exact words are what comes to my mind these days “just gotta work harder”! Dinardo!!

Yeah, I feel good cause I made my decision to boycott and do something else!!!! SOS….
Yes, that’s a great idea. I helped my mom a few times with the traditional stuffing of heads and it was tedious. I make about 30 crawfish balls, bake them and then put in my stew along a few ground crawfish tails. As my mom got much older, my dad made an elevated seat for her chair ‘cause she could sit all day and stuff heads. Don’t make those old cooks anymore!!!
re: Best stain and sealer for wooden front door?
Posted by Tigerroc on 8/3/25 at 3:14 pm to Megasaurus
Yes, after 45+yrs of sanding and refinishing our front leaded glass door and side lights with Helmsman Marine finish, we called Sherwin Williams and they recommended Man O War. We removed all of the finish down to bare wood and stained lightest color. Looks like a new door. Well worth $100 a gallon!!! We even refinished the cypress post and beams on our outdoor kitchen facing hot west sun everyday.
If you stayed one night, it’s probably observation type stay and cannot charge or bill for these and you’re billed for it. It’s legit. Some will tell you to bring your meds from home. If you’re admitted for an inpatient stay, then insurance is billed for meds.

I work on the other end of medical field with a degree, but you sure expect to be treated with highest quality care. And about fraud and scams….an unrequested Covid testing kit was mailed to our home from company in FLA. I got on phone with CMS and reported it. They put me on hold and came back online and thanked me very much. They had been trying to
Figure out this scam. It was ordered from
company in Chicago and mailed from
Lab in FLA. All charged to the Medicare account. No, no, no! That’s one hell
Of a scam n no telling how big it was.

My agent would have come by and assessed and said I’ll get back with you and even took pics for company. I just got my increase due to increased construction cost which I was planning on contacting them to add more coverage anyway.

Having trouble with string not coming out of cutting head while using . Anyone having same issue? Solutions? TIA
We finally got purple martins staying at the house today. They have been flying over a lot & not staying. So happy to hear their sweet chirping.
We did the excursion to Misty Fjords & saw whales and many walruses along rugged coastline. But, boy was it cold driving out there. Saw eagles when first drove up for our excursion.
You need at least 18 inches between cooler and bbq pit to put trays of cooked food or empty tray or tray of food ready to cook. You will need small LED down lights on ceiling above your cooking area for night time cooking or bbq.
Agree with all of above, but add two eyeball lights right above your BBQ cooking area. The light in BBQ pit is not enough when cooking at night. We put outlets on outside brick wall.
My JRT sits in doorway looking for lizards & geckos and whimpers to us to open door to go outside and put her eyeballs on them & won’t move. This goes on all day. She catches them and carries them out to yard and stomps them. She walks fence line, garage, down spouts, My girl Annie!
We got granite but it is the underside and called honed. The dealer said you have no glare reflecting off of it. Having it for three years & love it. Only problem is dust from cutting our grass and neighbors.

Thanks for all the info as Idaho will be on my bucket list for 2025. It has always been my dream. Been hitting the east coast and mid West lately.

The drive up to Jasper is quite a distance, but walking and viewing Columbia Ice Fields are worth it. The visitor center has food and coffee usual visitor center items.
