Today I learned that when you buy a dishwasher it doesn't come with a power cord. Don't ask me why. I also learned that when you pay $250 for a new toilet the lid is not included. The more you know.

Yep, it's the razor blade model. Buy the toilet, then you gotta keep buying lids forever.

To make it more confusing, some dishwashers come with cords and some toilets come with lids

Hmmm. My dual flush kohler came with a nice slow close lid a couple of years ago.

And some toilets have oval seats and some have round seats. Also get a seat that has the resistance hinges. That way it doens't slam.

Next he'll figure out that a clothes dryer doesn't come with a cord. Or a proper vent, if one is included at all.

I just put in a new toilet this afternoon.... came with lid.

Never bought a new dishwasher but it frustrates me that dryers dont come with power cord.

I've always had gas dryers and they come with a power cord since it is run off a standard wall receptacle.

I can kind of understand electric dryers not coming with a power cord since the 220 receptacles can come in different configurations for the plug-in.

Their literally are toilets at Sam's Club, Lowe's and Home Depot that come with everything, wax ring, inlet line, seat, etc All for $120 or under.

Not all of the receptacles are the same is likely the reason. I know when we moved in this house I had to change out my cord.

Out of curiosity, why do we need lids for toilets?
