Mine arrived this morning. How much oil you all had to put in this generator - the amount is not specified in the owners manual.
I finally found it after looking at the PDF version of the manual. 1.1 quarts. I have a fresh quart of oil, but not the .1 quart on hand, so my unit remains untested so far.

Thanks - I looked for it in the manual but didn’t find it.

I hunted and hunted. Seems like they would have made it more apparent. Page 32 in the table of specifications

Right in front of my eyes - probably looked that table 2 or 3 times, but that’s typical for me.

Update on my reconditioned Firman. Delivered this AM, and like all of you, it looked like brand new out of the box. I added oil this PM, connected it to a propane bottle, and it started right up. Now to get the natural gas hook up squared away.

I would think so - these units look brand new, I’d follow manual instructions as to first oil change at 25 hours run time, and 100 hours thereafter or annually.

Got mine a few days ago. There was a little bit of old oil that I drained out before I filled the pan. The unit seems to run well so far and only has 41 hours. The only issue is that it came with the incorrect wheel kit so I had to file a warranty claim to get the new axles. They should be in within 3 to 5 business days.

You sure you have the wheels facing the right direction lol

Thought so at first too. But some of the negative comments on the ebay seller’s profile were due to this.

Bumping this to follow up on hose size for those running NG.
My gas line/meter is on the left side of my house - plumbs to gas range, dryer, water heater, and I then splits off and crosses to the other side of the house where I have a 3/4” fitting for a grill on my back patio. I bought the 25’ 1/2 GasPro NG hose on Amazon to run my Firman TriFuel. Just test ran it with two 6000 BTU window units running full blast and all stove burners on high inside and it ran perfect.
No clue what the gas plumbing looks like under my house, but I’d guess it’s 40’ minimum of run between the meter and my back porch fitting plus another 25’ of 1/2” line to the generator. Just wanted to share my results.

Got mine in Friday. I found 3 hoses disconnected from the fuel tank/ carb. I’m guessing they was never connected back after draining the tank. Other then that I used it Sunday with no issues.

Typical of my luck, mine got stolen or lost in shipment. Ive called the shipping company multiple times and no help. Im sure ill get a refund instead of a replacement and miss out on the deal.

Got mine in last week, filled it with oil and ran on propane for 15 minutes.
Works great, looks new and actually smelled new after running a while, had that burnt paint smell after it got up to temp. Zero hours showing on the meter, not sure if re-set, but likely.
Was it R+L Carriers? They were responsive on the phone for me, I asked they come in a box truck, not a TT.

Wish I had thought of that. I had to go meet the driver down the road to get mine.
I also agree that r+l was very responsive and easy to work with.

Maybe not - mine showed only 1 hour of run time.
ABF freight company delivered mine in BR - driver unloaded it on the street and wheeled it up the driveway to my storage shed.

Finally made it and runs great.

Being a smaller engine. Heat cycle it a few times in the provided oil. Then try to run it for a few hours. Shut down. Allow to cool completely. Then fire it back up and run it again up to operating temp, try to put a few heavier loads on it as well.
Shut it down and drain the very scalding hot oil. Let it sit for quite a while as it drains.
Refill with a good oil that meets spec and you're good to go.
I run all of my small stuff on the mobil 1 0W40. It's a cheap synthetic. Has the tendency to sheer down to a heavier 30wt oil under hard use.
It's in my yamaha, B&S, and Honda inverters/generators. All have more hours then you should expect out of non commercial equipment. All run fine.
During a hurricane they get 24ish hours of constant run time on the small capacity ones before a drain and fill. The bigger briggs and stratton and honda units get changed every few days. Capacities are larger.
If not constant run time. Once a year or every 100 hours.

So I thought I waited to long to order one.
The price went up to 637.XX.
But I think it went up because ebay has a 15% off code for labor day.
LABORDAYSAVE
Which brings it down to like $541 or something like that.
