Was just scanning through HD for some attachment pieces and noticed the Ryobi set is more expensive than the Milwaukee set. I know the Ryobi is regularly "on sale" but I guess it's just.. not, at the moment?

Those Ryobi units are brushless and more expensive than the non-brushless.

Yeah, just weird for the Milwaukee to be on sale but not their own product. You'd think they'd be pushing their own product as well

they all run deals, who knows why or when though. It is all to get you on their brand so you go with them for all your cordless needs.

TTI makes both Milwaukee and Ryobi but I think they license this Ryobi name as they do with Ridgid.

Ryobi days ended a week or so ago. They went on for over a month. You could've got a brushless free tool with that purchase.

Generally see a sale when they're trying to clear inventory or when they're trying to add newer models. The Milwaukee was originally $70+ that sale price, so they have sold as many as they could at that price and have dropped it down to make way for newer inventory or a newer model.

Solid deal on the Milwaukee. Half the time it's better to just buy a tool kit than it is the batteries. Those two Milwaukee batteries are probably close to $100 if you buy them by themselves. We have so many drill sets because that's what we end up buying instead of just batteries.

Same here. Buy the combo. Batteries aren’t the 4-6 ah, but still worth it even to get a bunch of 3 ah.

Milwaukee wants you to buy into their battery platform so that you buy their other tools when you need them.

That is just a regular Milwaukee drill combo, not the FUEL version
Also looks like the higher end Ryobi HP drill.
Basically its a Tier 2 Milwaukee product vs a Tier 1 Ryobi product

I know in Charlotte, we have an organization that resells new and slightly used tools so they can provide rentals for disaster relief and other situations. Maybe a thing to look into if you have a ton of drills lying around.
