Planted early and I knew it was risky but already picking cucumbers and beans.
Loving the space master cucumbers- 2-3 foot vines and kicking out fruit.
Have some suyos growing but they are so big it will take some time before they are ready to pick.
Tomato plants are 2-3 feet tall with fruit on the mortgage lifters and cherries. The rest are flowering.
Everything looks healthy and growing well. Will prob pull the shade covers over in the next week or two.

squashes are up and looking good. No sign of the harbinger of death just yet.
These are the lemon squash
These are the Italian winter squash
Cucumbers are climbing
I may have gone a little overboard on the sunflowers but they should be pretty

My lemon squash look great too. They look like okra and cucumber as seedlings so I did mix some up as far as placement.
I have never grown them before. How do you prefer to cook them?

I’ll have to let you know
I picked these because they are supposed to be heavy yielders and because the squashes can be picked early or left on the vine without getting woody. But, I’m assuming just like any other summer squash. The round shape seems like it will be good to stuff and bake also
All of this assumes that the moths don’t kill them all

Lemon squash close up
Lemon squash bed with cucumber, tomato renegade seedlings, and jalepenos
Beans, mint cucumbers and rosemary on the other side of the trellis
Okra cucumber and random lemon squash I thought was okra. Also a few renegade tomatoes
Tomatoes. I have several beds like this
Tomatillos are doing well but all the peppers are so slow.

dude you got it going on. That looks great.
you’re way ahead of me on squash mine haven’t flowered yet
I sowed some tomatillo seeds but they didn’t sprout I may go try and find some transplants. I have trouble with direct sowing of tiny seeds in my beds

The renegade tomatoes all sowed themselves.
Have several growing out of the gravel.
Found a tomatillo plant last year, full grown, on the deer route last year. I guess it liked the free fertilizer.
Saw your post in the oil thread

This has been my cuke for 15 years. I don't plant any other cucumber. Short vines and loaded with fruit. Perfect for raised beds !

Saturday, I picked about a dozen Chiles. Roasted and peeled them. Grilled and had some green chile burgers.
If you find a Wataburger in the Southwest get you a green chile burger.

Got our first pickings over here. Unless you count a few blackberries and one cherry tomato that were eaten immediately.
