I have had mixed results in containers. For cherry and grape, I have had very little to no BER. With paste varieties, it's been pretty much a disaster. The problem with the grape and cherry typed have been vine containment. Those things want to grow forever.

Ended up buying a few 25 gallon grow bags for my sugar baby watermelons.. I’ve already spent to much money and I’m just trying to get them in something at this point!

Sounds like I need to invest in some more pots, or another raised bed or two for next year.

Pulled the first few plants that were starting to die. Pleasantly surprised by size. Good fist size red potatoes.

I’ve tried tomatoes in 5 gallon buckets 3 different times. Failed miserably all three times. They either go in the ground or my raised bed now. I’m tired of fighting buckets.

One I have had 100% success on is the Husky Red cherry you can find at any box store. So easy to grow and they produce like crazy without being as viney as some of the grape varieties.

We’re about to be loaded with blackberries and blueberries.

Tomatoes are doing great. Just hit them with a peroxide spray after all this rain. Got a few starting to blush.

Pepper plants are still pretty small so I trimmed off all of the small peppers that were growing to let the plants beef up some more. Same with the eggplant. Cucumber plants are starting to climb so that won’t be long!

I have some blackberry saplings I need to stick in the ground I just can't decide where I want them to live.

Do yours climb on something? I'm thinking about getting one of those wire metal cattle panels to let them run along.

I’m growing Tabasco peppers this year for the first time. Primarily to make pepper sauce. My plants are probably 8-12 inches tall and all have started budding and a few are fruiting I’ve been wondering myself if I need to cut the blooms and peppers off and let the plants get bigger.

I just put some t-posts around the raised bed and strung up some vinyl coated clothesline around it. I’m growing Prime Ark Freedom and they honestly don’t need much support because the canes grow pretty much straight up and are pretty strong.

I added bird netting over my beds last week.

Picked my first shishito peppers today. Looking forward to fresh peppers and carrots tonight.

Upon further inspection I believe it was deer that got them - anyone had anyone luck with the two tier fencing with string? Outer layer say 2’ off the ground and the inner layer say 1’ and 3’ off the ground? Tied off with string. Fencing not an option this season.

Congrats on the peppers and carrots - jealous!
