Same active ingredient as the Dimension pre-emergent you see mentioned here a lot.

Hey bootlegger. I wanted to put out atrazine and msma in February but I haven’t had it get dry enough to attempt it.
I know MSMA is fine at any time but am I just waiting chemical putting down atrazine this late or should I go ahead and do it whenever I get a chance?

You're still fine to put it down. Plenty people still spraying it now to kill spurweed before it makes stickers.

I sprayed my yard with a mixture of atrazine and weed free zone with a sticker mixed in.
The poa annua wasn't fazed. What's the secret for that stuff?

It would be nice if it would dry out a little for once. Feel like it's been soggy-swampy for a year now.

EIdawghawg, I have burnt mine for over 20 years. Even follow it with a garden sprayer full of diesel so I get a good consistent burn. Never any preemergent weed mess like you see in this post, people stop and knock on my door to ask me what we use. When I tell them the truth I think some folks think i'm lying. Several people on our street do it now. It really shows it self late summer. Our yard is full when bugs start to go to town our neighbors yards. Its a win win to burn it.

Boot, I downloaded the Scott’s app and they told me to put down the weed and feed. It should come in this week . What else should I do ? I have trouble with dallis and crab every year . It’s a Bermuda lawn . Should I use some MSMA?

I'm not a fan of weed and feed, but to each his own. But yes, MSMA is a staple for a Bermuda lawn.

What is a good brand to get and how much should I mix per gallon ?

sounds good.
I'm thinking I'm going to burn at least part of mine this year and see how it does. gonna add MSM turf to try and get the bihaya under control too.

I use Target 6 Plus. MSMA is a selective herbicide, and can seriously injure your turfgrass. There is no "ounces per gallon" rate for most chemicals, as one person may spray slower than the next person, use a coarser spray nozzle, etc. You need to calibrate in order to accurately apply the correct amount of active ingredient per amount of area covered.
You using a backpack/pump-up sprayer?

I have a 15 gallon sprayer with an electric pump I pull behind the lawnmower .

^^
Great link for everyone serious about treating their yard. Its not about chemical ratio per gallon of water, but chemical ratio per acre or per 1000 sq feet. Rates can only be given by the acre or by the 1000.
If you want to spray your yard the right way without injuring your grass and actually killing the weeds, you need to be using a calibrated machine.
I would aim for about 12-15 gallons of water per acre but some chemicals call for larger amounts.

What is this and how do I kill it? It pops up every year and never dies off until winter

Looks like dallisgrass. It's a pain in the arse.
You can either dig it up or find a herbicide that can kill it. MSMA will take care of it.

Put on a latex glove, then a cheap cotton glove over that. Dip glove in roundup and wipe the blades. Or like RollDat said, use MSMA (if you have Bermuda lawn).

My yard is officially nightmare status, it's been down hill since the floods. Do you know anyone that can regrade a yard? I'm having drainage issues.
