Going to be spraying with some weed free zone tonight I think. Is it to late to throw a bag of halts down for the crabgrass? I haven’t seen any yet.

LSUAgCenter has some great info, no matter the lawn type you have. Start hitting your broadleaves with post-emergent now, and get your crabgrass preventer down asap.

Now is the time to kill stickergrass before it forms those pesky stickers!

I applied a pre-emergent sometime October or Nov last year and fertilized with 5-10-10.

Haven't done anything since (I'm in Houston, using Texas A&M st. augustine guide).

Part of my lawn are starting to green up but I'm also getting clover patches (the clover that produces the purple flower). Any tips on what i should put down to knock back the clover? Is it ok to start fertilizing with 15-5-10?

A 3 way broadleaf herbicide like WeedFreeZone or Trimec should get it. Or a 4 way like Speedzone. Read label closely for applying to St Aug, as there are some strains that are more sensitive to 2,4-D. Or try atrazine. I wouldn't fertilize yet.

I'm in Northeast Louisiana, just used fertilome weed free zone in a pump up sprayer on all green weeds growing in my yard.

What next?

I put down pre-emergent down a couple weeks back and gave my bermuda lawn a scalp last weekend. I'm ready!

When you say scalp, how low should I be cutting my bermuda at this time of year? And what pre-emergent did you put out? Am I too late for this?

I put a post-emergent on my Bermuda last weekend. I ran out of MSMA so I used Celcius WG on the back half of my lot. I am curious to see if there is any difference in the results.

Can I put down Atrazine and my spray preemergent within say 30 minutes of each other? I plan on doing both either Thursday or Friday before rain gets here this weekend.

I sprayed 2 4 d last weekend on my weed garden in the back yard, some stuff starting to wilt now. How soon can I put a granule preemergent down to take care of the new stuff or am I GTG now?

I sprayed atrizine on Sunday for the clover and dandelion. How long should it take to start seeing some changes in the appearance of the weed?

Should be able to tank mix them together. Never mix two concentrates together, always in solution.

I've never seen atrazine results quickly. Usually 10 days or so, at best.

Recommendation for pre emergent for St. Aug? I'm in Houston, if that matters.

TIA

thanks.

By mixing solutions I'm guessing you mean to mix the Atrazine/water solution in one tank. Mix the Pre-emergent/water solution in another tank. Then mix the 2 solutions together in my sprayer.

I'm gonna spray the atrazine for the the clover in my front yard, and the ridiculous amount of blue grass in my backyard.

Hope it works out!

Any of you fine gentlemen know what I’m dealing with here? It’s spread like wildfire in my back and side yard.

Unfortunately fire is not an option in this situation.
