A thread for everyone to post their favorite videos and bounce ideas off each other. Yoga has def helped with my recovery and my mobility with my arse to grass squats, deadlifts and power cleans.
Also post and foam rolling positions and routines you might know.
yoga for runners
I been hitting this video a couple times a week and its been helping out for more than just running.

Standing splits have been a game changer for me.
I like bird pose.

I need it so bad for my shoulder mobility.

Where would be a good place to start in learning how to stretch. I am 3 months into greyskull and run a little. I have a foam roller but I don't even know where to start.

Just do ROMWOD. Great stretching plus breath work.

Down Dog Yoga app is very beginner friendly.

Romwod is a good site, the bodyweight fitness pro app has the Reddit routine which is great. Reddit and YouTube have lots of good stuff on them too

Good thread.
It always amazes me when some gorilla in the gyms I frequent makes a comment about me lifting heavy as frick and then stretching and running at the end of my workout.
“Why you stretchin, bro? Why you running, you gonna lose your gains” they remind me of the meat heads during selection that would come out and want to try out for our unit. Looked like roided our freaks but ask them to run or swim a mile and they’d fricking be dying.
I love doing some hot yoga after a heavy gym day.

In doing research I keep coming across Limber 11. Opinions?

I need to figure something out, cuz I'm getting sore AF and its more than just the usual soreness you get from lifting heavy.

Same here, it's getting a bit frustrating. Getting old sucks.

For me I feel my neglect of working on flexibility and mobility while I was adding strength and size from deadlifts and squats has killed my running speed past a mile.

I have this issue with my legs as I’m adding miles to my runs. I’m doing +/-3 mi runs with some hills at the end...sometimes do track work and stadiums. When I really push it my legs get very achy...wonder if getting serious about stretching/yoga would help. Guess there’s only one way to find out.

It seems like every time I have a long 30+min yoga or mobility workout, I always get really good sleep.

I've become an advocate for yoga as I am now an older guy. Flexibility, stretching, and balance can not be under estimated. My routine is the p90x3 yoga and the Isometrix (I call it advanced yoga) workout.

That Isometrix DVD is still one of the best at-home workouts you can do. Insanely difficult.
X3 yoga is fun but too short. The X2 yoga DVD is a lot better, I think.

That routine is legit. Full disclosure. I used to laugh at yoga and look down on the concept. Not anymore. If you need to improve flexibility and balance, do it.
