Hey guys, not trying to make this political but it’s looking like I’ll need to get a covid vaccine for my job and I’m wondering which should I get? I know J&J had some issues so I was leaning towards Pfizer but could anyone offer personal insight?

Again, not wanting to debate, I’m super pro-choosewhateveryouwannadowithyourbody but may have to finally commit.

Thank you!

Completely anecdotal but I think Moderna is more effective. I've known a couple of people with breakthrough Covid and they had Pfizer. I felt that second dose Moderna though. I haven't had a booster yet. My husband had a bigger reaction from his Moderna booster than the first two shots.

The ceo of Pfizer only has a 160ft yacht. And, well, the ceo of J&J has a 170ft yacht. We’re all doing our part this year to help the ceo of Pfizer get that 170ft yacht. Won’t you help humanity???

I took the J&J back in July and had no issues. Lots of negative info coming out now about the mRNA vaccines causing heart inflammation. If be very wary of Phizer and Moderna.

Probably best to talk to your Dr.

Whats the schedule for that looking like these days? I had heard EUA in Q4 but there hasn't been much chatter about it lately.

I did the Pfizer and had zero side effects or symptoms. I don’t think you can go wrong any of them, lots of fear mongering about the vaccines, keep in mind millions and millions of people have gotten all 3 without issue. The vaccine debate is made into a much bigger deal than it really is.

I got the PFizer a few months back and no issue, as well as my family.
I didnt want to get the shot but my kids play travel VB so I felt that was easier than getting tested all the time.

Have never been sick since the covid madness

Pfizer, no effects, apparently I’ve had the virus and did not even know it according to my blood test

Had Moderna vaccine...went to hospital with chest/body pains and shortness of breath. Months later and still have high pressure in and around chest.

Not trying to dissuade you but that was my experience with Moderna.

Why would you say this? Politics? Efficacy?

Wait it out for the Novavax.

The vaccines out there aren’t worth shite because their efficacy drops constantly and you will be stuck in perpetual boosters to remain vaccinated.

Politics.

They will continue to keep the EUA on the 3 approved vaccines and claim a 4th isn’t needed, even though the 3 in use suck.

Fly to a country who authorizes it and get the Novavax there.

I got Pfizer in April 2021. Got COVID in Oct 2021 - very very mild case with the only real symptoms being congestion and loss of taste/smell. Just keep in mind that the point of the vaccines is not to keep you from getting sick, but to keep you out of the hospital. Moderna and Pfizer both do a pretty good job at that, even with Delta.

Another thing to think about is this new variant that is seeming to spread quickly. What is your timeline for needing to be fully vaxxed? If you have enough time, it may be worth waiting a little longer to see if any info comes out on the vaccines and their efficacy to the new variant.

Politics for one, but Pfizer and Moderna will lobby the FDA that there are 2 approved options (possibly 3 if JnJ is approved by then) so the FDA likely won't take up the Novavax. When there are 2-3 options of a working solution, it is rare for the FDA to continue to approve more early on. The additional approvals tend to come over the following 3-5 years without any rush evaluation.

I hope I'm wrong because if forced, I'd choose the Novavax as well.
