I am running a couple of times per week on top of my lifting program. Unfortunately, my tennis shoes are shot. Where can I look for low price or discounted running shoes of a good quality? I don’t care if they are this year’s line. As long as it can do the job. I’ve checked on Amazon, but a lot of the shoes I’ve seen are obscure brands that I’ve never seen.

ETA: I’m only running about 2 miles at a time. I don’t need anything for long distances, if that helps.

Nike outlet store or use the sales page of their website. Plenty of deals to be had.

Try a bunch on at a running shop. Then buy on Amazon. Amazon is good because you can buy last years model for a decent discount. It's usually the ugliest color they had, but I only run in them, so I dont care. Every shoe is a little different so it's hard to say "change every 300 or 500 miles", but you do have to change regularly. They dont last forever. So why waste money.

Also, for the price, Sketchers Performance makes a shoe I tried on and doesn't seem bad at all. Can be had for like 55 bucks on Amazon. It's going to be better than a typical Nike (they make some good running shoes, but those are high as giraffe pussy). I realize its sketchers, but there are serious runners who are trying them out. Look at the Go Run series.

I just bought a pair of New Balance running shoes from Stage a few weeks ago for $70. Comfortable shoes, and seem to be holding up good so far. Not sure how they compare to something you would buy in a shoe store.

They also have some Nike running shoes under $100.

Red Stick Sports should be having a tent sale soon if you think you can hold off a few weeks. They usually do it in April. Kohl's had some on their clearance rack a few weeks back. I got some New Balance for $40 but I'm not sure what they have left.

Saucony will work just fine for what you need. You can get them at Academy for $40-100 depending on the model. I bought a pair of the $40 a few years ago and preferred them to the $140 ASICS.

I like the Asics Gel Cumulus line. You can get them for around $50 online in all the usual stores.

The Cohesion is the pair I had I believe. Just picked them up to mow the yard and I found myself grabbing them over my ASICS/Nike Pegasus routinely.

cohesion may be the best $30 shoe on the market. no lie. but you linked the nova with the amazing cushion. i don't know about those.

WTF buys shoes to mow the lawn? that's where shoes go to die.
