7 but want it to go longer. 2020 has been cruel to me, would love to finish it out with a fast and reclaim my health.

Probably about 18 hours but I’ve never really tried. I do IF now and would like to try a 48 hr and see how that feels.

5. Did it twice. Try for 5 around once a month, but usually cave on day 3 or 4.

7, 5? Are we not counting sleep hours? Everyone of us should be able to go 12, easily. 17 if you skip breakfast.

Two days. For a colonoscopy I had to do one and decided to try a second day before to see if it made the preparation easier...it did.

72 hours, probably could’ve gone longer, but did a 15 mile run 70 hours in and got kinda stupid after that.

Longer ones I do water with a salt mix (baking soda, pink salt, potassium supp) - no calories (sometimes black coffee). Been switching over to "dry fasts" which is nothing; no water - nothing entering your mouth, nada. Supposedly more aggressive fat burning, as your body in essence "makes" water that is needed from fat cells after a while. Not sure how accurate the "science" behind all that is... I just like to experiment.

I can work out normally when I include the salts. When you do no water, you definitely feel the lethargy to a much greater extent.

How is a 7 day fast healthy? Longest I've done is 48 hours.

If you're as little as 10 lbs overweight you have plenty of food to sustain you for 7 days. And most are way more than 10 lbs overweight. Supplement with some electrolytes and you'll be perfectly fine.

I understand that. 35,000 kcal is plenty to sustain you, but I asked how is it healthy?

You lose fat.

Being fat is unhealthy. Not that complicated.

Yes, but the healthy recommended weight loss is 2 lbs/week. fasting 7 days and not doing any exercise would put you at losing 4 lbs/week, double what is considered healthy weight loss.

It kills off weak cells and free radicals. As long as you take care of your kidneys in the process is indeed healthy.

juice fast

Why does "juice" get a pass? If it has calories, you aren't fasting.
