I found some Columbia Men's Hike Brief shorts that I really like. 6 inch, liner, pockets. everything i need.

Amazon Essentials running shorts - I have a few different colors and go through them once per week. Have had them for 2 years with weekly wear and they are still is excellent condition

I've got a few basketball shorts from Wal Mart that I like. The BCG look nice but we're designed for someone with no dick and balls. They are ok around the house but don't leave much to the imagination

I used to swear by the Ten Thousand Interval ($75) short but the pocket barely holds the new full sized iphone and the zipper fails after a while making it worthless. Costco stuff from now on.

Lululemon pace breaker 5” and Ten Thousand Interval or Tactical 5”..most liner-less but I have a few with a liner.
