Btw, Pepper spray works or just outrun them.

I like to run in the mountains or desert so mountain lions and snakes are my primary concern.

If I happen to be at a park or on a path/street with dogs I usually give a wide berth or slow down to a walk if they look jumpy (so as not to engage their fight or flight response).

I have been bitten by half a dozen dogs in my life (mostly herding dogs and Chihuahuas) and they don't really hurt.

Worst case scenario you just kick the mfr in the jaw and go for a 800m PR.

Worst case scenario is you get mauled by a pack of pit bulls like that video on OT yesterday.

I became the pack leader and now they run with me.

3-4 years ago I was cornered by two dogs. One bit through my running short. I started screaming like a little bitch. Within 30 seconds I see this cop high tailing at me with his lights and sirens on. The dogs ran away but boy I’d never been so happy to see a cop.

It could’ve been worse because it was a block away from an elementary school that was about to let out for the day. Cop asked if I wanted to press charges or file a complaint or something...I don’t remember but I declined. I’ll never forget that day. Those were some expensive arse running shorts too.

Small cattle hot shot. They’ll hide when they see you coming next time.

I know your experience had to frightening, but the thought of two dogs running away like a couple of little hooligans when the cops show is hilarious to me.
