Yea thinking that was a screw up on somebody’s part. I haven’t gotten the email saying they’ve shipped but hope everything is good. That’s a hell of a deal on a shoe that just came out. I couldn’t find the 1’s that cheap.

Nice call on the Pro. First run in them today—3 mi @ race pace. Never tried anything w/a carbon plate before. Could definitely feel a difference

If you really want your mind blown, try the alphafly. Very polarizing shoe (and I totally understand why), but unlike anything I’ve ever run in.

I plan to buy new shoes in a couple of weeks and I think I'll opt for the Ghosts. I'm also considering NB Fresh Foams. My friend has a pair and loves them.

1080s are great. Before my burnout I had 400+ each on my ghost 9s and 1080v8s.

Tried on the v10s but ended up with Ghosts instead due to a sale.

Should I be concerned about getting a max cushion shoe when I am marathon training? There are millions of articles online with cautionary tales about too much cushion for races.

All I wanna do is finish in under 4 hours and move on to the next one

Just get the endorphin speed. They have a ton of cushioning and it’s bouncy/springy and fun to run in. Max cushion shoes tend to feel like your plodding around with bricks on your feet.

I recently got a pair of the speeds and have been very impressed with them.

Stop fretting so much over shoes. There are lots of good shoes out there. Get one that feels good. Shoes may be a small deciding factor on who WINS the race but the engine is what gets you to the finish line. Put a shoe on and go tune your engine.

Got my Xero Prio shoes today. Put 4 miles on them. They will take some getting used to, but I like the minimal, zero drop shoe. Much easier on the feet than the sandal.

Anyone else transition to the barefoot or zero drop shoe? My calves and feet have really changed in the last 90 days.

How many miles do y’all usually get out of a pair of shoes? I’ve got about 4-500 miles on these Brooks Adrenalines and they’re on their last leg. I do about 20-25 miles a week. Just looking for something a little more durable. I ran through a pair of on clouds in like 2 months

400-500 is pretty damn durable. I’d say 600 is the top end of what should be put on any daily trainer and far surpasses what manufacturers expect to be put on them. If you liked the Adrenaline, get another pair.

I probably will. They’ve been my favorite running shoe in several years. I saw them not too long ago at academy for around $100

Just catching up with this thread. Retired my Hokas yesterday after 18 months and moved to the ASICS Kayano 28 after trying a bunch on. Had a great run yesterday. My feet started to ache after longer runs with the Hokas. They still looked like they were in great shape. Very durable uppers.

Anyone here have or tried the NB RC Elite v1? I just found some for $99. I’ve heard the v2 is better, but figured for $99 the v1 are worth trying.

7.5 / 8 / 9 if anyone else wants in

Love my V1’s. At the time, they were as close to the Vaporfly that I found.

I have a pair, I like em. They’re the perfect gateway into carbon plated shoes for anyone apprehensive about dropping $250 on the vaporflys or something.
