I'll second the Next% as a go to for race day. I've ran two marathons and a 50k in them and my feet have felt great after all of them. Didn't require any break in and they only come out the bag on race day. Lace'em up and go. Will be grabbing another pair before they change them up to much. Nike doesn't like to keep a good thing unchanged for long.

Same here. You notice any difference/deterioration after 100+ miles? I’m bad about that kinda thing, but I don’t notice any discernible difference after 140 on mine.

As for as performance deterioration, NO. They feel the same as day one. I do have tread wear but that is due to my poor gait.

I told myself a few weeks ago I wouldn't buy any more shoes.

and then I bought the nike zoomx invincible on release day.

and just bought the hoka mach4 on a whim today, since it's getting insanely good reviews.

also considering the new balance rebel 2 when it releases. FML.

I know the pain. I've settled on my rotation lately and should be good until summer time. I've really enjoyed the Kinvara 12 lately and recently got a second pair of Endorphine Speeds. Other than those, I sprinkle in some work with the Fuel Cell TC and Zoom Fly 3.

I bought some Kinvara 10s because the local run shop was having a tent sale and they were like $30 and I fricking hate them.

I just wanted some cheap shoes to put easy miles on this spring.

Guess back to the search.

The Rebel 2 will be my next purchase, followed by N%2 for Fall racing. I’ll pound what I have for now. I need to retire quite a few that are close.

I really want the Mach 4. Let us know how they are when you get some miles on them.

Any of you fellas run much in New balance. Have been eyeballing the 860v 11 fresh foams. They're a stability shoe. I've been trying to find something comparable to brooks adrenaline. Just wanting to try some other brands. The only other running shoe I've tried outside of brooks was Adidas pure boost and I hated them.

Kinvara 12's are really nice. The foam is great and they feel light on the feet. I try to keep them at easy paces, but it's hard. They are great track day shoes.

Oh I forgot to mention I’m also looking forward to the saucony freedom 4. I’m really curious to try the endorphin line foam without any plate.

I’m trying to abstain from purchasing the rebel 2, but the price is reasonably low and I believe one of the prominent YouTubers has called his favorite shoe ever. So, I’m intrigued.

The invincible is a great easy day shoe, and it has the best fit of any nike shoe I’ve ever tried.

Have any of you tried the new Glycerin GTS? I currently have the Adrenaline 21 and Im looking for my next pair of stability shoes with a little more cushion than the Adrenaline.

I came out of the 1080v10 where were a dream as far as cushion goes, but I just really need that stability feature with my over-pronation.

Saw some first impressions of the RC Elite 2. That stack height looks like an improvement. I've been back and forth over which shoes to wear for my half on Sunday. I really do like my RC Elite after I figured out how to get a good lockdown. I just can't give up my Next% and try something new.

If I was running any distance below a half, I would use the RC Elite.

Went out on a whim today and ordered the Saucony endorphin speeds today in space black(future I think it's actually called). Rolling the dice on a neutral shoe bc I've only ran in brooks adrenaline (stability) since I started running a couple yrs ago. Not really sure I trust the original gait analysis I received from the late teens/early 20s girl here at the local shoe store.

Was able to snag these for 128$(down from 160) with my wife's teacher discount through saucony. Pretty excited after hearing you fellas rave about em.

some people truly need a stability shoe but most don't. as you become a better runner in general and your form/gait improve that need should decrease. I have the speeds and find the ride pretty stable due to lower overall stack height. they also lock down well on your foot. hope they work for you, if not and you wear a size 9 I know of a good home they can go to. nice discount too!

Good deal man I hope they work for you! They are worth every penny IMO. I haven't found a pace they don't feel great at. I love the Future colorway (have my Kinvara in Future). When I purchased my second pair, that wasn't an option on Jack Rabbit where I had a $20 coupon so I got a second pair of Mutant.

I've seen a lot of people picking up Novablast's on clearance at Ross. May have to take a ride over to one of the downtown locations tomorrow and check.

Appreciate it fellas. It'll be a 12mm to 8mm drop so hopefully no issues there. Brooks has been good to me but those adrenalines are just a daily workhorse. They don't feel like they're made to go fast and I'd like to get a little swifter. I can still use the 20s I just got on clearance for recovery runs I guess. Hope the sizing is similar to brooks. I have been going a full size up from my normal shoe size. I always get mixed reviews on whether you should size up a 1/2 or full size.

After 2 runs I’ll give you my thoughts thus far....

Pros-
Relatively light weight and well cushioned. Not overly soft or mushy, good amount of responsiveness. I’ve ran in a Hoka bondi, Clifton and rincon before, and this is easily my favorite hoka; it slots in nicely between the rincon and Clifton. Perfect shoe for someone that’s just getting in to running and wants to buy one shoe only. Also good for someone looking for a daily trainer that’s soft enough for recovery or long runs.

Cons-
Not necessarily a con, but for me, the shoe is a “Jack of all trades, master of none”. In other words, for those of us that have a lot of running shoes, I don’t think this is a necessary addition to the collection. For a daily trainer, I’d prefer a saucony endorphin speed, Hyperion tempo, and maybe even the old Pegasus turbo 2 (ie. something slightly lighter that doesn’t have that hoka clunkiness). For a recovery shoe, saucony triumph is my favorite, and I think the nb1080v10 is a better option as well. Also, for anyone that’s tried all the super shoes with the super foams, something like this just won’t be exciting. Considering how many shoes I have (way too many), I’m not sure when I’d select this over others.

In short, if someone is looking for an affordable, do it all, non plated, well cushioned daily trainer, this should be near or at the top of the list.
